They just opened up our hours again so I'm going in to the office tomorrow. It's so hot here you can't do anything outside anyway - may as well go to work! When I got home from the office at 5 this afternoon, the temp was an even 100F. We're not used to that kind of heat here.

Conor, they said on the news this morning, that MD has the most power outages of any state, from last week’s storm, to date. (I cannot believe they haven’t restored power, yet.) Glad you did not lose yours. (And the office has an AC.)

Thanks very much, Yorkie! There was quite a mass of Marines there that night, officers and enlisted, male and female. I sat next to a lady whose husband was in the parade - it turns out she was on leave from the Sandbox where she serves in a transportation battalion. (Army) A lot of really fine people there.

We still have a lot of people with power out. We still have some intersections with dead signals a full week after the storms. Went to buy some wine last night and my liquor store was closed due to lost power. They apparently have not seen the power company since the storm.

We are indeed fortunate to have been spared the worst of the damage. Also, if we had lost power, I would have had to go to a cooling center - cannot handle the heat. {-:)
