RE: 6/25:
"..."...over/under on stage wins for the young Slovak?""
"Sagan is the real deal. I pick him for at least five stage wins."
Sagan at only 22 years old has had a fabulous racing season this year already with some dozen or more stage wins, a few points wins and other finishes no lower than 5th. If he stays healthy he'll be someone to reckon with in the years to come.
I am just praying that NBC doesn’t torture us with Bob Costas. I hope he is occupied sticking his smarmy tabloid interview schtick at the Olympics. If they drag him out to pretend like he knows cycling I have a simple message for them both ...
Excellent response with the nature break photo.
One thing for others to take note of is that he's not scared of the hills. He's not a pure climber, but he can hold his own and that makes him even more of a threat in some of the stages after the first week with lesser climbs than the alps.
Stage 02 - Visé > > > Tournai 207.5KM
Monday, July 2, 2022
Km 82.5 - Côte de la Citadelle de Namur 2.1 kilometre-long climb at 4.5% - category 4
Stage 2 graphics are up!
Yeah, we get it already. The only sport known to man that involves cheating.
Thanks so much, Freddy!
He’s in. Haven’t heard the whole story, but they talked about it during the Prologue.
About 500 extremely unreliable and subjective EPO tests and they all come up with negative As. Then, somebody pulls a years-old B out of the freezer - completely unstable - and it might be positive... So the French press goes haywire. Then of course a few known cheats and liars say so and so is a doper... And there goes the reputation of the world’s greatest, most innovative athlete.

Well put, golux.
Nah, because it's BORING and they cheat. I might watch if they had bounty programs, tire slashing, crooked refs, being able to hit opponents with folding chairs, etc. Include a few scantily-clad strippers and THEN you'd have a sport worth watching!
When do you expect to see the action pick up ?
Stage 7, the first High Mountain stage, deceiving w/ ‘only’ 3s & a 1, but it's long and has a brutal finish at ~14%.
Or Stage 9, the first ITT.
