Prayer Request for freepers MamaBear and JKPhoto’s son, Dave.

During a physical for an upcoming job in Angola, a mass was discovered in one of his kidneys.
His kidney and the tumor (which the urologist believes has an 80% chance of being malignant) will be removed sometime next week.

This has hit Dave and his family hard, as he has enjoyed perfect health for all of his 43 years.

Dave, registered as CA Libertarian, has been a long time FReeper but seldom posts.

Prayers are appreciated. In addition to Dave, MamaBear and JKPhoto, please remember his wife and three children in your prayers.

I just got a call that the surgery will be scheduled about four weeks out and the surgeon is 90% sure that this cancer is one that is non-recurring. 90% is GREAT odds! He also said that there is no indication on the CT Scan that it has spread to any other organs. So, Praise God, this is very good news.

Once again, my son, his family, jkphoto and I appreciate your prayers so much!

My husband went through this last year ... went in for one thing, found out there was a mass, a few tests later, a cancer diagnosis. He lost the kidney but kept his life. It sounds like Dave is beneficiary of early detection. We will pray that Dave has an equally positive outcome.

Oh, Lori - I have been gone all day, and opening my pings, just now, I see that your son (his family and you and your husband) are in dire need of prayer and Divine Intervention.

May our Heavenly Father be there to guide the hands of the surgeons, and all who attend to your son - all the way from the surgeons to those who administer medications, and those who sterilize his room.

I will be in constant prayer for Dave, and may his wife and children (and you and your husband) know that our Lord is in total control. Prayer IS answered!
