Thank you for your anniversary greetings. Mrsd is also pleased with your greetings. Thank You!
That is a rarity, the Midway was one of the ships hubby served on. He did his service during Nam, they helped pull the ambassador out of Nam. The small plane that carried a Vietnamese family flew over, pilot dropped his gun with a note, the Midway’s crew pushed the “junk” Jolly Greens over the side so he could land. The plane is in the Naval museum at Pensacola. They had to hold the plane down as the winds were so high that day and of course the plane was no bigger than a piper cub style plane.
As a boy, I used to ride a go-cart that was steered with a rope. On one occasion, as I propelled my way down the driveway, my parents warning came to mind: Always look up and down the street for cars. But I rationalized: Its okay not to do that just this once. Then I heard the sound of screeching tires as a car came to an abrupt stop to avoid hitting me. Thinking I could break my parents rule nearly cost me my life.
The Bible has many examples of those who knew better but who chose to break Gods rules. From boyhood, David had meditated on the law of God while he tended his sheep. He knew that the seventh commandment condemned adultery, yet when he saw a beautiful woman bathing he used his royal power to take the wife of Uriah for his own. This sin resulted in terrible consequences (2 Sam. 1112).
The psalmist wrote: Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins (Ps. 19:13). Have you felt tempted to do something just this once even though you knew it was wrong? Glancing at Internet pornography, borrowing money from an account at work, or stretching the truth may each seem like an isolated activity but can lead to terrible consequences. With Gods help, turn from sin and find His way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13).
Read: Psalm 19:7-14
“Prone to wanderLord, I feel it;
Father, help us to keep our hearts and minds on thee and thy Word

EMPHASIS!!!
“Prone to leave the God I love;
Heres my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above. Robinson
Temptations will knock at your door; dont ask them to stay for dinner!”

Open Mic Tuesday!
I have no peeves or gripes, but we do have an important event going on here in Wisconsin today.
I’d appreciate prayers for our great Governor Walker, Lt.Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and the 4 state senators who are under recall today.
I went early this morning to vote and I estimate by my ballot number that turnout is as high as a presidential election, maybe even higher.
My number was 3 times higher (150 rather than around 50) than it has been in past elections around the same voting time.
We need to win and win big. Over the margin of demorat voter fraud and beyond. If we don’t win big, they will demand a recount.
I am excited, but nervous, until I see a huge win for our side late tonight after the totals are in.
((( Thanks for sending prayers our way )))
