Roly Poly Kitten Haiku
I'm just a Roly
Poly mound of silky Fur
Wiggling while I Purr
Being on my Back
is kind of nice. This Point Of
View does add some Spice!
To a World that seems
large and imposing. Will it
change while I'm dozing?
I could roam around
or close my eyes. I wonder
which choice is more wise?
This blanket is so
soft and warm. Caresses and
soothes my silky form
A sudden noise makes
my Claws appear. Ready for
the source of my Fear
The sensation swirls
and fades away. Lesson learned
for another Day
I have learned enough
for one Day. It's time to Nap
and then later, Play!

Once again a great message from Our Daily Bread, Rus.
Praying that God will use me as a witness for Him to draw people to Him.

Happy Monday to Amy’s Place!
Cute mouse and sunflower picture!
I need to get outside and take care of my flowers too.
No rain in my part of WI for over a month. Grass is dead, but flowers OK with daily waterings.
Cheers

Hi, TCP! We are in a major drought here in AZ, too! The only ‘flowers’ that survive the ‘critters’ here, are Canna Lilies - up until now. It seems that something likes the taste of the buds, and has eaten every tip off my lilies. This is the first time in 15 years that this has happened!
I wonder if it is because of the drought?

Technology is so great. Religious, Radio programs are broadcast the world over,
IE. “Through the Bible”, Dr, Vernon McGee's 5 year Bible bus “ former broadscasts are re broadcast regularly, all around the world. Television is in the poorest of places around the world.
Bibles for China, Missionaries, going in with radio's for the poor, their heart is ready to embrace the LORD most High. Their condition is ready for the message of God and His grace. Pray. Pray. Pray for the LORD to reveal himself to the lost, hurting, brokenhearted, those seeking to know God. Right where we are, we have a part in the evangelizing of the world.
Praise the LORD!

The LORD is everywhere present, all knowing, able to do anything. Omnipresent, Omniscient, omnipotent. Nothing is impossible for God. Rest in knowing he is ever present. Talk to God, read His Word, pray. It will change a persons life, guaranteed. If a person is sincere.
How can it be people want to put off salvation?

Kitty and all Cat Lovers:
Did you see the Kitty related thread from The Kitty Ping List on Sunday?
I watched the links to Henri The Cat’s Life parts 1-3. Brilliant cat humor and each episode is only about 2 minutes long. Some episode links are in the comments section.

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

Thank you, Conor! I miss Ike and Reagan so much! I was just a young girl when Eisenhower was POTUS - and I wrote him a letter - and got a reply! (Wish I knew what happened to that letter!)
The news today was not good. Every post seemed to turn my stomach. I yearn for the ‘good old days’ - when we were truly a Nation Under God - Sweet Land of Liberty!

The news is not good these days. I was very young when Eisenhower was President - not politically aware. He died just before I was deployed to Vietnam. I was in Field Med School at Camp Pendleton. Our DI, Sgt. Grau, assembled us and informed us of his passing. He spoke briefly but eloquently of Ike's contribution to the Nation. As I learned more about our history, particularly, WWII and the 50's, my regard for Ike increased greatly.
Look at the difference between men like him, who built, fought for, and bled for our Nation and the Freedoms it provides, and men like Obama, who can do nothing but pass the buck, avoid responsibility and blame Bush. He is destroying our Nation, and the media, Hollywood and academia are his partners in crime. I can't describe how revolted I am that this has come to pass.
Our military is still strong and loyal. I only hope this evil can be undone before it is too late!
