“What’s the stock market then?”

Same stupid thing!!!

The first time I signid a union contract in the early 60s with pension, health and welfare in it I swore to never to own a share of stock and I never have and never will!

The market is nothing short of a ponzi scheme.

The wisconsin elections appear to have caused a big shift in the intrade numbers. Romney has shot up to 44 and obama has dropped to 52. At this rate, they will be tied this time next week. When Sarah Palin said “Obama’s Goose is cooked” in response to the wisconsin elections, I think she was justified.

Thanks, mamelukesabre.

Tonight was extremely encouraging.

Sarah had numerous good things to say tonight.

Betcha they shift even more by tomorrow. All third world nations are going on red alert as we speak. Obama's got to do something to recover.

I don’t need Intrade. I called Obama a one-term wonder back in December 2008. I knew we were in an economic depression and the economy would be terrible during his re-election and he would lose after 4 years presiding over a worsening economy.

That is all you ever needed to know. Peoples seat-of-the-pants experiences in this economic depression will cause them to vote for “anybody but Obama” in the same way that Jimmy Cahtah got slaughtered.

It is nice to see that the professionals and pundits have finally caught up with me, even if they are 3 years late to the party.

Bless the shallow American voter, she is too ugly now to be President. Creepy granny hair=fail.

Gopsterinma in another thread: 2016 starts tonight for the Rats...Evan Bayh vs. Hillary! perhaps?

In 2016 she'll be even uglier. Bayh I think has too much moderate history and makes Al Gore look exciting.

I think smarmy douchebag rat Governor O'Malley of MD is exactly the type that's likely to be nominated in 2016.

“In 2016 she'll be even uglier.”

All very true.

“Bayh I think has too much moderate history and makes Al Gore look exciting.”

After the Soetoro disaster, he might be ehat the RATS need.

“I think smarmy douchebag rat Governor O’Malley of MD is exactly the type that's likely to be nominated in 2016.”

He went to the same “little he-bitch douchebag” school of smarminess that Shepard Smith did.

Fear is right, but I don’t think it is fear of Obama.

Obama is only a symptom of the problem. Folks like me fear that we have hit a tipping point and that the moochers now have complete control. I still think that Obama has a better than even chance of winning.

Moochers can't mooch if good people do the right thing and stop filling the feeding trough. If the people of San Diego, San Jose, and Wisconsin are voting for that, then you know that a turning point has arrived.

In addition to that, the latest polls show that something like 70% of Americans want the Supreme Court to rule against Obamacare. They want the whole thing scrapped, because they know it's going to mean the end of American prosperity forever.

Even if the majority of US citizens wanted to keep the Socialist gravy train rolling, it's a mathematical impossibility. The thing is going to collapse under its own weight, despite what any useless eaters want. The natural order of the American free market system is going to right itself, no matter what anyone does. We've simply run out of money to keep the welfare state going.

Trust your fellow Americans. Most of them are on the same page as you.

Time to start looking at intrade again. Trading volume is up and it looks like the numbers are on the move with a potential big shift coming.

That’s a nice steady rise...but I think a short term spike is about to happen.

I still believe those indexes are nearly worthless as a predictor of who will win an election.

They just tend to FOLLOW the polls and news/general momentum of the campaign. From what I’ve seen, ever since they started being popular, they are a leading indicator of exactly nothing.

...A perfect example is what those indexes did on the afternoon of election day 2004 with the exit poll results leaking out. Kerry would have been a wonderful short, seeing how he was leading Bush on those indexes by 38 points or so.... LOL

I agree. Looking to Intrade to see will be the next president is like looking to American Idol to see who will be the next great rock star.

Intrade is going nuts lately. It does not appear to be a momentary glitch anymore. Obama’s numbers are going sky high. I can’t figure it out. Either the polls are way off and the people are on to it, or Intrade is turning into a joke.

That just makes no sense. Both sides can do that so they should be cancelling each other out...unless one side has detected a reason to suspect Intrade itself for fraud...then they will boycott.

Most GOP with the money to game it, don't.

The RATS and Team O have had a long time to strategerize this one. Ignore intrade, until the real players want to make some money.

there is currently 500 share available, at $7 each. that's $3500 to "game it" per day, in untraceable "donations."

It took $40K to snap a pic with Obama and an $800 per bottle pyramid of champagne, or 11 days worth of "gaming."

See where i'm going?

PS - as of this typing, someone just bought the 500 shares.
