My brother has just been diagnosed with ALS(Lou Gherig's disease). I would like to request Prayers for him.
Have him get a second opinion (if he has not done so). ALS is a tricky disease to diagnose, and it is diagnosed by excluding other possibilities. However, this means that doctors are wrong here far more than with most diseases (I heard 20% of the time an ALS diagnosis will be a false positive).
But still 20% is not good odds. My uncle died last January from ALS. He died much earlier than most who are diagnosed, and it was somewhat sudden. Be sure to make the best use of the time you have with him.

Just some information that I came across since I have Lyme Disease. Research showing many ALS patients actually have Lyme Disease. There are many articles on the web. I have included one for you. Prayers for your family.
