Got a complaint ... a gripe .... a pet peeve?

It's Tuesday, so Sound Off at Open Mic.

My complaint for today is irresponsible pet owners who dump unwanted pets in the country. It seems they think people who live in the country are in need of a dog or a cat.

They do not think about the traffic or lack of food and water. It is pitiful seeing a pregnant dog standing at the side of the road watching every car that passes.

When one of these unwanted pets find my house, I make sure they have food and water and then call the SPCA. The irresponsible owners could save gas by dropping the dogs and cats at the SPCA instead of driving 15 miles out of town to put the animal out of the car and driving away.

That is my complaint for the day.

A sad complaint from me. Two home owners in our area have
found their beloved pets..one cat and one dog...shot to death
in their own front yards. No suspects apprehended yet, but
I hope they find who is doing this before more animals are
killed.

Pet Peeve

Persons who drive slow in the fast lane of the Interstate.

Persons who drive slow when you can’t pass them, and later when the highway opens up to 2 lanes, the slow person adds 15 MPH so you no longer need to pass them.

Yes I’ve been doing a lot of driving lately. Delivering flowers.

Yes I am tired and grumpy.

A Few Years Ago 3 Half-Grown Pups Showed Up Here One Evening, but the Next Morning they were Gone,
And I've Thought about them Since then, Hoping they Found a Good Home.
They were So Cute and Lovable!
I'll Never Understand why People like that won't have their Adult Pets Spayed or Neutered,
If they don't Want Puppies.

SHAME on those that abandon an animal. or that mistreat and are cruel to an animal. One thing I know we can help sustain life and we can offer comfort and a home to an animal and receive comfort and faithfulness back, but one thing we can not do and that is give life back to an animal that is killed whatever the manner.

We either build up or we tear down.

I have about 15 or so box turtles. Really too many for my yard. Now I am concerned if I take some of the males off to a golf course or park they will not know how to find food. I have been feeding them some of them for a few years and some I just rescued from the street recently. Made a mistake in not marking them in some way so I know which are the latest arrivals, etc. There are about 4 baby turtles this year.

God blesses turtles too.
