Too many sopapillas at Sadie’s.
I've seen quite a few older folks do this with their little dogs. They don't actually walk the dog, only let it outside in a fenced yard to do its business then let it back in. Then they feed the dog too much and too often, sometimes with table food or even specially prepared "people food" which is really not healthy for pets.
The little dogs get so big around they can barely walk, they make noise breathing, snore, and so forth.
The owner doesn't realize that they are just loving the poor little thing literally to death.
Cat has the shape and size like those animal pillows all the young girls have.
El Gato Gordo de Nuevo Mexico?
Hmm, I may resemble that, although I’m in Tejas. :)
I have a 30 lb cat named Big Mama.
If Obama had a cat, it would look like Meow.
It wouldn’t bother me if Missy was fatter, it would keep her from being airborne most of the time. She travels the length of the house and never touches the floor, it’s rough on things that get in her way.
Forty pounds at 2 years of age for that cat is unhealthy.
I have seen a bigger lean cat younger that that one though.
About 5 years ago I was taking my black Maine Coon to the vet for shots. Our vet keeps two adoption cages from the local shelter in his waiting room. In one of the cages was the biggest domestic cat I’d ever seen in my life. Cream colored, Maine Coon, fourteen months old, lean and 42 pounds. I’d have adopted it, but the wife said we already have two cats and that’s enough. I didn’t know that they made kitties that big, but the vet said they aren’t common but there are a few around.
“...Adult cats typically weigh between seven and 12 pounds...” Not some breeds! Maine Coons are one of the largest breeds of domestic cat. Males weigh from 15 to 25 lb (6.8 to 11 kg) with females weighing from 10 to 15 lb (4.5 to 6.8 kg).[17]
May be he has a Maine Coon gene in there somewhere? Then again, did someone just stuff him?
Just took my Mimi to the vet (she has chronic asthma). She weighed in at 15.5 pounds, lol.
She is a little tubbie!
Hope they can get him healthy again....that’s sad...
Well rounded cat, but not well rounded diet.
My kitty weighs 20 lbs and ONLY eats 1/2 cup of IAMS Weight Control Crunchies daily...that’s it.
He’s just a big boy...I can’t pick him up anymore because he’s so round and soft,he is hard to hold onto!
Should have come with a handle on his back-like luggage!
The Mrs-I love my Bibby Boy!
There was a fat cat named Oscar that lived next door when I was a kid. He’d sort of groan when you picked him up. But he wasn’t as big as this Meow fellow. Oh man he’s chubbeh.
