Obama hits the links, plays first round of golf in election year 2012

President Barack Obama hit the links Sunday for the first time in 2012, according to a pool report.

The press did not see who Obama’s golf-partners were late Sunday morning.

GOP presidential contenders have criticized Obama for playing golf during an economic crisis, suggesting that the president is out-of-touch with the concerns of voters.

Before the Iowa primary, Romney juxtaposed the president’s choice to vacation in Hawaii with Republican candidates campaigning in the Midwestern state.

“We’re out in the cold and the rain and the wind because we care about America. He just finished his 90th round of golf,” Romney said at an Iowa campaign event.

Let him play. Less likely to screw up the country if he’s out on the links.

Nero fiddles while Rome burns. Nothing new here.

November cannot come soon enough.

I honestly doubt this was the first golf he has played this year. Has he been to Camp David any? It has a full length hole designed with 3 tee offs to emulate 3 holes at Augusta National.

Anyway, I don’t care anymore. We need to retire him in November and he can go golfing or to as many bathhouses or clubhouses as he wants.

It just occurred to me that he might have actually been telling Medvedev to let Putin know that after the election, he will have more flexibility to go golfing with him.

Right now, all the golfing is looking bad.

He's not a Clinton. I can't imagine him on the speech circuit.

I can, hoever, imagine him and Michelle at Reverend Wright's church serving fresh vegies and beer.

Someone should keep a tally of all the black teenagers shot in big cities on this turkey’s watch - especially in south Chicago.

Then throw it back in his face when the media starts crowing about how much hard work he’s done for the black community.

The hypocrisy continues .....

Let him play. Less likely to screw up the country if he’s out on the links.

And then there's the chance of incipient weather and lightning, especially in the spring.

Yes, it does.

I think our candidate could make a huge campaign issue out of all the vacationing the Obama’s have done. Our candidate could pledge that in this time where a great many Americans can’t afford a vacation, any vacations he takes will be taken at the highly secured Camp David facility.

Just a thought.

It has occurred to me that Reggie Love left about the time Obama stopped playing with golf balls. I wonder if there is a coincidence?
