Just some food for thought to the Admins and FR Community.

I’ve wanted to ask if Drudge loads really slow for anyone but me?
His headline appears, but the lower page takes forever (not that I go there anymore.)
To: Dubya-M-Dees
I just tried it and didn’t have the same experience as you. Some pages loaded quickly, but others were slow. I’ll have to try it after spending a significant amount of time here so that I can do a good comparison. Thanks for the tip!

Tried it. Not much difference to me. But then I’m the patient sort.

So I guess the answer to "Are you logged in?" is no.
Oh, wait, you can't read this anyway.
To: Dubya-M-Dees
What you could do is run two browsers, say Firefox and Chrome. You could be logged into one of them to do your posting, and logged out of the other to do your surfing. When you wanted to post something or check for pings you would switch over to the logged-in browser.

My tip is to require any blogpimps to run the treadmills an hour a day. Blogpimps with two accounts have to run for two hours.

My biggest problem with FR is the false sense of urgency to repeat posting. The post button hangs at least 15 seconds, sometimes indefinately.
Usually, I copy my post text and re-browse articles and find that my post was indeed posted.
If not, I have my text in the buffer to quickly re-post manually.

I haven’t been logged off since 2003 except the times my computer died. I probably haven’t logged on more than 10 or 12 times.

Not having yet read the responses, someone may have made this point by now, but I seriously doubt John would've coded the site to refresh one's ping list every time a link is clicked.
It would make much more sense to do a search of the database only when one specifically queries their ping history.
But I've already been wrong once this year, so who knows . . .

Thanks for the tip.
FR has been slow for me for about a year or so; so I stay logged off FR most of the time until ready to post.

That’s an interesting observation.
I’ll have to start browsing FR using two browsers, one logged in, and one not. This machine has 8G of RAM, keeping two open is no big deal most of the time.
