This superb 1954 film starring Jimmy Stewart, June Allyson and featuring Harry Morgan will be shown tonight (Saturday, March 3, 2012) at 10:15 PM Eastern Time on TCM.
It's very much the same with me. I probably know every line of "The Glenn Miller Story" but I never fail to watch it when it's on.
Likewise with "Jaws" and the innumerable times I've seen it. It somehow compels my attention every time it shows, especially the Indianapolis speech as told convincingly by Robert Shaw.
That part got to me too.
you mean the buzz bomb?
Thanks for the ping. BTTT!
:-D Except maybe when he was in Rear Window.

I love June Allyson.
Anyone for “Good News”?
Regarding the 1949 version of Little Women, Margaret O'Brian said that she was in awe of June Allyson when she played along side her in that movie because June could cry on demand and Margaret, being a young girl, hadn't mastered that art yet. Margaret also said that she was upset with Liz Taylor, who also played in Little Women, because just a few years before Liz would hang out with her, but in Little Women Liz had grown up to the point where she was more interested in Peter Lawford than she was in handing out with Margaret.
This was during an interview on TCM, BTW, when Margaret was quite old.
I always had a crush on June Allyson myself when I was a boy.
Well, early in his career Jimmy played a jerk in one of the Thin Man movies with William Powell and Myrna Loy, although you don't find out he's a jerk until the end of the movie.
