Thank you, LUV W, Hugs! Several Kinds of Flowers are in Bloom,
And my Bridals Wreath Shrubs are So Pretty.
The Prior Owners Planted a Yellow-Flowering Shrub, and it's just Covered in Fragrant Flowers.
I can't Wait until More of the Iris' Burst into Bloom!
I'm So Thankful for these Wonderful Blessings from our Lord!

Happy Spring!
The Blossom
The bud is not the blossom.
It keeps the beauty hid,
Until the warming sunshine,
Lets unfolding start its bid.
And as the color settles,
Like dew upon the limb,
The blossom opens up to show,
The joy that comes from Him,
Who toiled within the garden,
To separate the weeds,
From flowering plants and bushes,
And tended all their needs.
In time, the blossom yields a fruit,
With promised swelling growth,
Full sweetness for the Gardener,
And seeds within for both.

Your Bio Here
March 2, 2012
While searching for an interesting way to instruct my college writing class about the concept of writing a biographical sketch, I found this idea: Write a biography in six words. When asked to do this, Pulitzer Prize winner Ernest Hemingway wrote this poignant bio: For sale: baby shoes, never used. Imagine the sad story behind those six words.
As I thought about this concept, I wondered if we could find any six-word biographies of people in the Bible. What I discovered was astonishing. Many of our scriptural heroes have already been described that way. For example, David, of whom God said: A man after My own heart (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22). Or Pauls self-description: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:1). Or Pauls description of Timothy: My true son in the faith (1 Tim. 1:2 NIV). And consider these words about Mary: The virgin shall be with child (Matt. 1:23). And about Jesus: Became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).
This exercise in precise descriptions of people of faith should cause us to wonder: What six-word description would best describe me? Would it be positive or negative? Would it be Not an easy person to love or A shining light for the Lord? What would your bio say?
Lord, help me to be what You want me to be
In character, actions, and will,
For You are the potter and I am the clay
Your purposes I would fulfill. Fitzhugh
Once lost, now found. Eternally thankful!

Good Morning Rus. Great ODB message. I’m gonna have to think about 6 words to describe me. How about a 6 word desciption about rus, “a servant of God and people”.

It is of little consolation at the time, but it does work to turn our thoughts to how great it was to have known our favorite dog, cat, animal, horse, friend, relative, neighbor, teacher, etc.. We can relive in thought the good times, and expressing it in a poem, or story, brings the good times to our heart again. We are blessed in some way, large or small, to have known almost everyone we have met in our entire life time. The gifts of our LORD teaching us many good things.
Imagine a glorious heaven ... and those we hope to see again. In Jesus name, amen.

The Cow
The friendly cow all red and white,
I love with all my heart:
She gives me cream with all her might,
To eat with apple-tart.
She wanders lowing here and there,
And yet she cannot stray,
All in the pleasant open air,
The pleasant light of day;
And blown by all the winds that pass
And wet with all the showers,
She walks among the meadow grass
And eats the meadow flowers.

The one we write for our self ... might be very different from what our friends might say.
Here I am along in years and yet I feel to be ..
Child of God looking to grow.
Good idea this, Mayor. Perhaps unique.

Thank you, Teenie. Our weather is beautiful today.
We had wild weather last weekend .... rain, wind, hail, snow in our foothills and even had a tornado spotted about 15 miles west of us. It didn’t touch down, but strong winds did down some trees.
We lost power for awhile Monday ... not sure whether it was storm related or a car vs a power pole. :)

I know what you mean about the wild weather. We had it all except for any tornado sightings..that I know of. I can handle most anything but I detest the wind. By itself is bad enough but when it’s added to any of the others it makes for real messy weather!
