This is my tribute to our brave warriors who served in Vietnam. Our forgotten war which we Americans have yet to come to terms with. The truth needs to be told some day.
JFK gave us the Vietnam war.
On the 2nd link, Click on “Medal of Honor” midway down the page and go to Page 3. Click on “Sammy Davis.” I have been listening to this guy and he is a real hoot! His story is amazing!
Everything I need to learn about ‘nam I learned at the “wall” in DC
Part of the truth is that many Americans of the Hanoi Jane ilk actively worked for the defeat of our troops in what was already a no-win war.
been living with the demons for a long time...learning to deal with them has been day to day challenges. Hopefully the lord will call me before the demons email lol
Amen to ALL of that.
The political class needs to stop micromanaging our wars. Beyond deciding whether to go in at all, they need to back off and let our guys win it and get the heck out of there.
May God bless our service men and women, every one.

Thanks for the post.
I always look for my older brother in VN pictures. I was very young when he was in VN. I prayed for him for an hour every night until he came home. One of his friends flew those helecopters in to pick up wounded soldiers.
A couple of years ago my wife happened to meet Sammy Davis and his wife flying out of Colorado Springs. She said they talked for quite a while and she was truly impressed at what humility he had. Another truly heroic American of which there are many. Kind of like the video but all raw footage would have been better than putting in h’wood movie footage.
To “mylife”. There were “advisors” in Nam long before lbj took over.
Pray for our soon to be gutted military.

LOL. That what I figured, but I had to yank your chain a little bit.
For me it's a bit jarring to see Hollywood's cartoons mixed with the real stuff. I understand that it's meant to be a tribute but there's more than enough real stuff to put into the video. Consider finding a documentary movie called A Face of War. It's hard to find but the camera crew accompanied 2/7 for 93 days of combat and the cameraman was wounded during the filming.

I haven't seen them in many years, but plan to this summer (he's settled, I'm the traveler). Looking forward to seeing them again and catching up. Glad to be able to see a happy ending for at least one...
"May God bless all those who have served to protect our nation, often in horrible and hostile environments overseas, and especially those who are physically/emotionally damaged from our wars, including Vietnam Vets who were neglected far too long. RIP to those brave warriors who sacrificed their lives in service to America.
Never Forgotten!
Thanks, that worked for me...
IMHO, LBJ DID have a mission, and that was to enrich himself. He made millions in deals with Brown & Root and their construction projects in Viet Nam. Many friends lost for nothing.
I am a Texan and Marine, because of LBJ, I have never voted for a democrat.
