This is my tribute to our brave warriors who served in Vietnam. Our forgotten war which we Americans have yet to come to terms with. The truth needs to be told some day.
My friend lost his fight with the demons of Vietnam 6 yrs ago.
Thank you.
You are so welcome, my friend.
You are so welcome, my friend.
You are so welcome, my friend.
You are so welcome, my friend.
I have some older S Vietnamese friends that get it.
Some of the younger ones don’t.
Sorry for the multiple posts but my PC went nuts.
There are so many questions that need to be answered. LBJ screwed up royally (he sent our boys over with no clear mission and did not understand insurgency military tactics)and Nixon eventually had to capitulate.
The US Media and Government let our boys down as far as ‘Nam is concerned and I would like the truth to come out some day. We are facing similar dilemmas in Iraq and Afghanistan. They tell you to go fight, limit your rules of engagement, and then abandon the territory that si many of us or our family members (I included)gave up their lives for.
My brother fought in Nam and told me one day to turn on the military channel and watch footage of a recreation of what a man named Sammy Davis did. I was shocked to see this story about him. To watch the way he kept getting back up over and over to fight and help others is astounding! My brother was in a ditch shooting at the VietCong watching this guy. They got overrun. Read on.

Indeed.
And then they go nuts, if some kid with a shoe shine bomb box shows up or drops a grenade with the trigger held down in PVC tape into the fuel tank of a MA Deuce and one of our guys pops them.
One of my friends shot one of those kids.
He got a bronze star, and a lifetime of troubles.
He’s gone now.
The media and politicians lost that war. Not our men.
My prayers for your friend and respect for those that fought.
My stepdad lost his fight in 95, no physical wounds but the mental ones were to much. He gave up. Thanks to Cronkite and the liberals in this country 58000 men are dead and forgotten by most. All I needed to know about liberals and Dems is what I saw during the 80s, and what they did to my step dad. God bless your friend he is with his buddies.
Second link doesn’t work - no video - too bad, it looks good.
Thanks for sharing! I think we too often hide what happened in Vietnam because we lost that war (not because of our troops who were beyond considering what they faced but because of our limp government and media who did not support our troops).
There have been times where I mention the Vietnam War and folks become unhinged. I don’t care. Unless you were there, go to hell I say!

Hope it works! :)
I crewed a Ma-deuce, back in the day.
Never saw one with a fuel tank, though.
There you go! Thanks much! We need this story to be told.
Brain fart.
Deuce and a half
