One of my favorite truths
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the Day of Judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
Much, Much wisdom in these words from 1 John

It doesn’t matter what I am. You’re gay, and that’s the problem.
The author takes a lot of liberties with Christians, and basically lumps us all in with the Westboro baptist crowd. Frankly, I don’t care if anyone is gay - that is their choice.
I’m just sick and tired of having their lifestyle stuffed in my face, 24/7.
Guess that makes me “intolerant”.
I think “Jacob” is full of sh*t and want to throw pity party for himself with plenty of whine.
What's going on when every week there's a juvenile attack on religion which is usually; "oh sure Christ is good, but these "christians", huh, what a bunch of hypocrits"
And everybody is a bigot, except our humblw author, who has "studied" the great religions and yet, still can't grasp a single element of any of them except "love evrybody"
What is this? The 60s?
Goodness me, if this is what passers for enlightenment we are in deep, deep sh!t.

I didnt choose this. I didnt want this. And Im so tired of people hating me for it.
Yes. Yes you did chose it or at the very least you choose not to do anything about it.
Good post. But I suspect that the supposed loving quotes from Islam were made up out of thin air. I’ve been studying Islam for 10 years and don’t think there is anything like that in the Quran or hadiths. In the meantime, we have perhaps the best documented article about homosexuality on the web:http:
//www.faithfacts.org/christ-and-the-culture/gay-rights.
God certainly is loving. He is also just.
That story is a boatload of crap.
We all have friends or family that are gay, we don’t drop them, most of us don’t pay that much attention to them except when they get in our face with their sickness.
What we do not like is having them push their sick agenda in schools , in parades, and in wanting to call their sick sex practices with a partner, a marriage.
What did science ever say about “It wasn’t my choice?” BTW, I’ve just been wondering , how can “B” be if it isn’t a choice? If it isn’t a choice , how long until LGBPT?
I don’t hate gays, nor do I hate those engaged in adultery, those filled with envy who covet the property of their neighbors, or others who in some way fall short of following God’s Word. I fall short, as infrequently as possible but still on occasion, so I understand both temptation and failure. I have clear evidence that God does love gays and adulterers and wants them to become worthy of heaven, as he wants all of us to become worthy. I also have clear and convincing evidence that God wants those people who consciously choose to violate the guidance He has provided to repent: place their duty to God above their lesser drives, and suppress or resist those aspects of their desires. Whether someone is attracted to the same sex (or to someone of the opposite sex other than their spouse) by choice or because of their inborn wiring is not important. Whether someone chooses to act on that attraction, knowing what the Bible says, is central to who they are in their relationship with God.
I see no hate in that condemnation of a person’s choices and actions. Rather, I see failing to uphold the Word of God as the ultimate guide to life as one of most hateful things one can do, because abandoning the Bible would encourage more people to go astray.I will not watch or allow my kids to watch a TV show with gay characters presented in a positive light, one that celebrates adultery, or one that celebrates any other violation of God’s Word. Again, that is not hate for gays or for those who cheat, just good parenting.
If you are a Christian and you love somebody, do you “accept” their homosexual behavior? Of course not. Love does not equal permissiveness.
Hebrews 10:26-27 “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.”
Deliberate and unrepentant sin such as homosexuality will lead your loved one to eternal separation from God. If you love them, reject their sin. Of course, homosexuality is not a sin against me (like theft, or murder) but a sin against the Lord. If homosexuals loved their friends and family, they would listen to, and consider their rebukes.
1 Samuel 2:25 “If a man sins against another man, God may mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?” His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the LORD’s will to put them to death
It may be that someone is, at their core, homosexual. Or a glutton. Or greedy. But we are all supposed to repent of our sinful nature, to struggle against our unworthy desires, and to live -- as much as possible -- a life that is pleasing to God.
The folks wallowing in homosexual lust need intervention, as an act of Christian love.
What sort of love would let a person go to hell without telling them the truth. People’s idea of love is a bit twisted nowadays and it does not include discipline.

Does anyone here remember when they chose to be heterosexual?...just asking
After reading these posts I guess I’m intolerant and a bigot. If you want to be gay then STFU.
