A much better question would be, “Does anyone remember when he/she began to lust?”

Actually, quite a few people do remember that. Most "homosexuals" describe their orientation as someplace on a spectrum from completely straight to completely gay. One I know well and used to work with describes his reasons for going purely gay as "too much work to score with women". Many of those in that in-between spectrum make a choice, either because it's easier socially or because it's God's command, to live as a heterosexual. That is a virtuous choice, and one just as much in keeping with "who they really are" as my choice not to have sex outside marriage even if the woman is really gorgeous, sexy, and willing. There is not much virtue in following God's commands when that is simply what you would have done without God's guidance. I see far more virtue in placing God's will above our own and living our lives by the guidance He has given us, even when that is against our first inclination.

I don’t remember when I decided to walk on my feet, but it is perfectly natural. However, you can “decide” to walk on your hands and making such a decision does not make walking on your hands normal.

Hint: “Walking on feet” equal heterosexual and “walking on hands” equal homosexual.
