Newt has the right to fight back against his competitors, I have no problem with that. However when he starts by sounding like Obama and using the class warfare card on Romney's wealth, it is just plain stupid. Now his latest quip about taxing the blind, and scraping the bottom of the barrell is just more over the top whining. I really think Newt is probably the smartest and best informed candidate. However, his achilles heal has always been his ego, and the inability to handle rejection or negativity (a major part of politics) in a grown up fashion. It goes back to his complaining of having to get off the back of the plane with Clinton and has reappeared in this campaign. I can not longer think of him as a viable candidate.
I don’t think you ever supported him.
Uhm, one mans whining is another mans truth telling.
Newt is telling the truth.
Perhaps he should just say that he likes Mitt, be nice and not possibly hurt his feelings?
Sorry Newt,
When they made you Speaker of the House during Billy’s term, you promised us your “Contract With America” and the Democrats were running scared. I really liked you then. Unfortunately, you caved when they started criticising and demonizing you. When you quit as Speaker, I was disappointed and saw that you didn’t have what it takes. You did not have grit. We need someone with a thicker skin than you, who can promote a Constitutional Conservative agenda and stand up to the criticism from the Donkey party and their henchmen, the media. You aren’t it.
Jack
Newt can act like a raving maniac if he can get us back on the right path. He has my vote.
My number one reason I can not vote for Romney is I think he would support Romney/Obama Care.
Sorry it http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=19951116&slug=2152925 actually happened,
I see in this race the shadow of Karl Rove.
Mostly in the campaign of Mitt Romney.
To a lesser extent in the campaign of Rick Perry.
Both use “plausible deniability” while their minions slime and smear.
So yes.
If you want to play politics Chicago-style, be able to take the heat from that kitchen.
Code blue! One conservative down, fetal position assumed with thumb in mouth, cutting off air flow!
One wobbly washes out to sea, whining against the giant, Newt. Searching here for anyone who cares?
Santorum is 'extreme', Bachmann is gaffe prone, Cain is a womanizer...
Are you getting the picture yet?
For us to refuse to vote for whomever the GOP candidate is to contribute to Bam’s reelection.
I feel the same way as you do that Mittens isn’t the one we want to win the nomination.
But if we stay home, we are shooting ourselves in the foot.
Speak for yourself, I would take Newt over Mitt any day of the week. Mitt’s Money actually is a little bit of an issue in that he thinks he can buy the presidency. I’m just not that into him.
Rather than make excuses for Myth Romney, how about you tell readers who you support?
(unless perhaps it’s Myth Romney?)
Just saying.
baloney - I am GLAD to finally have a candidate stand up and blast everyone
Why should he? When he can just use liberal lazy talking points to take down our best conservative candidates.

Good insight.
The Romney Defense Brigade is out in full force. Gotta protect the RINO. They are an endangered species.
They say that, but they will watch every one of them.
