The press didn’t make Newt make stupid comments about “I am not wealthy like Romney”, that was Newt speaking out of anger. I was a huge fan of Newt initially as speaker, and absolutely agreed with his show down with Clinton on government. As many have stated on this thread, it was in fact Clinton who made the choice to actually shut it down.
