It seems mother and all 15 babies now doing well.

In the book, “One Hundred and One Dalmations” Mrs. Pongo likewise gave birth to 15 pups, and a wet-nurse dalmation had to be enlisted to help. It was she, in fact, who was the 100 and first dalmation.

Owner Kay Sullivan, 45, said: 'We had to care for [the puppies] for two days because Pebbles was not very wellWe raised a single pup from 2 days old, and it was work...feedings every two hours, etc. I can't imagine doing that for 15 pups, even for a couple days!

Thank you for posting this. It made my day!
I had two dalmatians growing up. They were playful, full of unending energy, friendly personalities, very very ornery, but were the most loyal and loving creatures I have ever known.
