In the book, “One Hundred and One Dalmations” Mrs. Pongo likewise gave birth to 15 pups, and a wet-nurse dalmation had to be enlisted to help. It was she, in fact, who was the 100 and first dalmation.

I’ll take the one with the half black face.
I shall name him/her “YinYang”!

Owner Kay Sullivan, 45, said: 'We had to care for [the puppies] for two days because Pebbles was not very wellWe raised a single pup from 2 days old, and it was work...feedings every two hours, etc. I can't imagine doing that for 15 pups, even for a couple days!

Oy! I remember when our Dobbie had twelve pups and we had to help her for the first few weeks. Lots of work. Cute little things!

Thank you for posting this. It made my day!
I had two dalmatians growing up. They were playful, full of unending energy, friendly personalities, very very ornery, but were the most loyal and loving creatures I have ever known.

Unusual for all puppies to survive in a litter this large.

When I was a kid we had a dog that had 15 puppies at once - she was a small dog (mutt) and they were killing her, so my dad put half of them in a garbage bag and stuck it on the tailpipe of the car until the bag stopped moving. I guess he would go to prison for that today.....
