PG&E Cuts Off Families Who Replaced Hazardous ‘Smart’ Meters After the commissioner cleared the way to allow public to restores their analog meter back on their home. PGE seems they are not quite co-operated; they shut off a dozen households in Santa Cruz and Calaveras Counties who had swapped out their “Smart meter” for analog. only thing “smart” about the new meters in Texas is how the wires companies sold it to the PUCT that retail users should pay for the meters.

The wire companies got to fire their meter readers.

They got Obama stimulus money.

The homeowners get a $2.32 a month bill for the next eleven years.

We saw an immediate increase in electric prices by at least 10%

Utter BS based on crapscience. If they were affected by the extremely small RF field from a communicating meter, they could not function in today’s wireless-filled world.

Of course PG&E will cut off service. They provide a service under terms you agree to, if not...

PS: Tell the idiots not to try replacing their wireless AMR gas or water meters...

You’ll see another 10% once the Obama EPA rules start shutting down the older coal plants. At least.

No kidding, ever since the ‘smart’ meter has been on my house, I can’t stand near it outside, within a few feet of it before my head feels like it’s being turned inside out. Haven’t been able to concentrate very well either. Some wireless phones give me a headache too. Can’t use them. Have not ONCE placed a cellphone directly next to my head.

Any next step I should take to make my case? Complain to a Doctor etc.? What do I have to lose? I’m unemployed and have lost all hope.

Think Soprano’s or better yet Hugo Chavez.

Mr. Chavez nationalized the power companies in Venezuela. Then suddenly there were rolling black outs in wealthy neighborhoods and their bills went through the roof.
The poor neighborhoods who supported Chavez never lost their power.

baraq is on a tear to nationalize industry after industry.

I find if people don’t actually suffer from the same malady you have, they have very little sympathy or belief that you have such a problem.

It is well known that there are people who are extremely sensitive to EMF, some somewhat sensitive, and many who don’t notice it even though it still hits them.

The fact is its been shown these meters do not just communicate a couple times a day and only at really low power levels. they communicate about every 6 seconds for several seconds, and the power levels are a lot higher than what the companies claimed.

The other fact is there’s nothing wrong with the analog meters. Most people don’t sign up for smart metering so there’s no reason to replace them.

Texas spent close to $6 billion on wind power.... we WILL almost certainly have blackouts this summer. For half as much we could have had reliable steady (& CLEAN) power from natural gas fired plants.

“Complain to a Doctor etc.?”

Yeah. Good first step. If your doc will confirm it, then go to the electric company and ask for relief. Tell them you’ll call in your reading anytime they wish. I operate a water company. We use meters that can be read by a guy driving down the street. Houses are close together, but there’s no confusion about reading signals in adjoining homes. The signals are very weak. Perhaps something else is bothering you? But, by all means, check with your doctor.

In CA, you will pay PG&E to remove smart meter, and pay $15/month as long as you live in your home.

If some retail energy provider gave us “real time rates,” smart meters make sense.

They got the cart before the horse on this one.

The 6 billion was for wires to get the wind generation to the load.

T Bone Pickens is not going to build the wind farms he said he was going to build.

Another empty T Bone promise. Ask anyone you has to pay to go to OSU.
