Conservatives are lost. Give us Barrabas!

Posted on 12/03/2011 4:42:03 PM PST by OUTKAST

After the news of Herman Cain, it appears to me that conservatives are lost.

How can you abandoned a man on allegations yet flock over to support someone who has a history of doing worse.

It reminds me of when Jesus was being betrayed by his own people instead they wanted the guy that use to rape their women an steal from them to go free..

America, you deserve what you get in 2012. You are constantly being played like sheep to a slaughter.

We can now proceed with the plans for the New World Order for the next century...

Not our fault you are too stupid to figure out this guilt by accusation tactics you were so quick to embrace in Cain's case can now easily be used against your candidate of choice.

You are part of the idiot squad who helped legitimize these scumbag tactics

I don’t believe in letting them win without a fight. You astutely bring up what has been perpetrated against Sarah Palin. I want her to intensify her fight against the permanent political class.

I don’t need evidence. He was the one running for president.

Wow you really are thick, aren't you? It's not an act at all, is it?? Damned scary,it is.

Even though Cain himself,on record,on TV,on conservative radio, buried himself every time he opened his own mouth,it's somehow somebody else's fault.

Somebody's a big ol' dummy,and it ain't me!! LOL!

“You are running against Mr. Popular... none of these guys can compete with that.

Herman Cain brought that factor into play.

The goal to win this is defeat the ‘Definition of Cool’

But of course like sheep you are thinking the issues are gonna win it.”

Many will likely deride, dismiss or ignore your observation; but, I think you make a very salient and cogent point.

Of course, I am not sure what anyone could do once Herman decided to pack it in ...kind of a self fulfilling prophecy at that point. Once uncertainty in his candidacy reached a certain level his funding dried up; and w/o the funding he could not continue his campaign.

One thing is for sure: Hank Williams, Jr is really some kinda pi$$ed off tonight!!!

Been there, done that, no response from the Geheime Staatspolizei yet. But still waiting in ambush.

support someone who has a history of doing worse

Doing worse?

When did Cain take over the House for the first time in 60 years? When did Cain balance the budget? When did Cain end welfare as a Federal entitlement?

Please - Cain is a nice guy, but to compare him to Newt is ridiculous.

Oh no, now there aren't any conservative candidates out there (Michele Bachmann)! What will we do without anyone who is truly conservative (Michele Bachmann) to vote for?

We're (Michele Bachmann) lost!

I think you are spot on with your observation, and there may have also been help from inside the RINO machine with their fingerprints on the same weapon. Mr. Cain was a threat to all their food sources feeding on the taxpayers.

I do not know this for a fact, but one has to think the secret service is also one of the top advisers for that person and their family when the secret service is charged with that person and their families protection. As stated, Mr. Cain has been receiving threats. And if I were in his and his families shoes I know not what I would do, given a choice. One has to believe the threats come from high up or why would the secret service be there with a mere candidate, one who has not received the nomination?

Cain was pretty good but I think the only real two conservatives in the race so far are Santorium and Bachmann.

We really need to get behind one of them and make a difference in the primary...voting in Gingrich or Romney is just going to set us up for another Clinton/Obama era of destruction.

Didn’t seem to work all that well in 1861, but I guess we will see. In my opinion the country is more divided today than it was then, and over our very existence as a representative Republic, not a mobacracy. Always remember; “First they came for the communists and I said nothing because I was not a communist, then they came for the union leaders and I said nothing because I was not a union leader, then they came for the Jews and I said nothing because I was not a Jew, then they came for me and there was no one left to say any thing”. Just substitute the conservative person or organization for those above and I think you will get my point.

FRiend, some of your typed words are threatening in some respects. I have made a prediction of 2016 if Americans do not sense something different, from D.C. by that time. I pray I'm wrong, for I prefer peace over open street warfare though warfare may come. I do not invite it (the warfare) or I try not to. There is much wrong in our nation. I stand on the line in defense not offense. Please understand, if offense is your intent, then there will be certain defense will come. Live by the rule of law. Die by the rule of law. Pray to not be part of the problem. Difficult times lay ahead for our nation. America may not survive. Wait though it be difficult. Do it for your family, if your intent is to go on offense. Or go on offense for your candidate. It is better than going against the rule of law.

I read John 10 this morning. 1-6 is so today! Both spiritually and worldly. The good Shepherd, and 12-13 the bad shepherd . It is really worth a read. And we just lost the good one. While we all really need the spiritual One more than ever now.

I agree with you there, also to note is being able to pull facts out of a hat doesn’t win you votes, it’s also about presentation. People forget elections like 1960 where Nixon, despite his knowledgeability, lost the election to Kennedy. Part of it was likely the long stay of Eisenhower, but Kennedy was also younger and spoke more charismatically. That’s perhaps Newt’s biggest flaw in speaking, he speaks in lectures. Problem with paying attention to these is often the fact that your audience wants more charisma than they want known facts, Romney has the same flaw, he speaks in businesstalk, that loads of the electorate would lose their attention to in not much time.

As for Gingrich and Romney, they’re two sides of the same coin, they claim conservativism, but they are for climate change, both for nationalized healthcare but B.S. their way into arguing that they have differences from Obama’s plan, and both are fickle enough that if Greek dieties were real, we would hear them laughing their heads off about it. He already sat on the couch with Pelosi on Climate Change, whether or not he believes it is another story, I can’t know

As for me, it appears we have a long stinkin’ fight with the president in White House after this election, and it totally doesn’t matter if this is an R or a D after the president’s name, we’re going to have to be willing to possibly even vote a one-term for a GOP candidate, just because we can’t count on party candidates to fulfill the principles. We just can’t sit back and spontaneously trust them, that’s how it is.

I can’t figure why more won’t get behind him. We holler about conservative candidates, and when there is one, people don’t get behind him.
