Alan Sues, an actor whose loud, clownish comedic style made him an invaluable cast member on Rowan & Martins Laugh-In, one of the top-rated shows on television in the late 1960s, died on Thursday at his home in Los Angeles. He was 85.

Never found him all that funny. Big ole doofus that acted more than a bit gay.
He WAS gay.
even at 6 I knew there was something ‘funny’ about this guy
I loved that show.
I loved that show.
Life ain’t easy for a boy named Sues!
RIP.
i don’t mean to hijack your thread but i followed your link to wiki... and came upon those annoying pleas for money from the peeps who produce articles. I don’t care if they ask for money but I find it irritating like they’re doing us a big favor. I also noticed the fellow from India who posts article donated 250 rupees after the Mumbai massacre. That’s 5 bucks American. Back to Alan Sues.
I know that Sherlock, but he didn’t “come out” for many years.
Basically an untalented puffter who far outlived his 15 minutes of fame.
I remember seeing his Peter Pan ad when I was young.

Just shows that even moderately talented can shine when the writing and directing(?) was as good as it was on Laugh-In. LI was the right place at the right time with the right people and even now watching some of those skits is to fall down laughing. When you can get John Wayne and Richard Nixon to do guest skits and it works, it was a true moment in TV.
[Tongue-in-cheek] Hee-Haw without the country.
I thought at the time that he was kinda goofy
The only reason I watched R&M was to see Goldie Hawn
I used to fantasize at the time of being the one
that applied all the art work to her
I was 12 when Laugh-In appeared and became a national fad. I LOVED it! Lots of liberal philosophy on that show, but at 12, who knew? I just laughed a LOT! The little guy in the raincoat on the trike, Arte Johnson and Ruth Buzzi as the old man and lady in the park, sock it to me...ah, I loved it!
