Check out this video of an octopus literally crawling out of the water and dragging itself across dry land in pursuit of a meal. A family with a camera was lucky enough to be on the scene and captured the whole thing on video:

Cool - but a rather small octopus. You should have seen the one that escaped from captivity and was coming down the stairs toward me, as I was going up them, at an unnamed University in Florida that has an Indian tribe as its sports mascot! Some time later, they also had a Monitor lizard escape. Needless to say, guns were banned on campus! LOL.

I’ve heard they can be a problem for the home aquarium enthusiast. Something about being sure the other tanks are more than a short crawl away from the octopus tank.
