They may be the height of fashion but the health risks will bring you back down to earth with a bump.
Five-inch heels are becoming the most sought-after shoes on the high street as shoppers take their lead from celebrities such as Victoria Beckham.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, must be a duck. Or is that a $lut?

Those might actually be useful if you happened to fall into a river, lake, ocean, or swimming pool.

Sho' you right, but nevertheless, choices have consequences. I don't see the upside to this myself. Guess I'm not one of those guys who are into feet. But hey, knock yourself out.

They may be the height of fashion but the health risks will bring you back down to earth with a bump. Sounds like one of those nail-biting personal decisions that are oh so elusive any more.
If one is going to drive an SUV, eat McDonald's, go out in the sun unprotected, own legal firearms, cook on a deadly charcoal grill, or smoke they may as well wear shoes that are what they want to wear....unless of course one is a droning anti-American sheeple.
Then vote democrat and do what you are told to do!

IMAO, they cross the line into whore-ish. Plus, its seems women can barely walk when wearing them. No grace at all.

We LAUGHED at the oh-so-high and ridiculous wigs of Marie Antoinette's era, the long, pointy-toe, curly-toe shoes that men wore during Casanova's day, the satins and bows of men's fashions during the same period, the men's zoot suits of the 30s and 40s, just to name a few crazy moments in fashion.
The women of today who would subject themselves to this fashion...they'll regret the day when they find themselves with painful multiple foot conditions that require regular visits to the podiatrist. Not to mention how laughable they look as they attempt to walk.

The feet are a very important part of a healthy human body and those who lost them I am sure would be very bitter about how women treat theirs that they actually can appreciate but do NOT.
How one walks affects one's spine for life.
To me, a woman who does love fashion, I have my limits. I will not let a gay male fashion designer make me torture myself, make me unsafe on the street in so many ways, and keep me from enjoying the feeling of strong, flexible feet that get me everywhere I want to go. And look great in a pedicure because they are not all bunioned and contorted.
To me, higher heels are EXACTLY the same as ancient Chinese footbinding.
Men who like a well turned calf must note that for decades a decent 2" heel turned a woman's calf nicely but allowed her some comfort and safety, ESPECIALLY IF NOT WORN ALL DAY. But upwards of 2 inches, this is seriously footbinding.
Men, remember that the Chinese men of yore LOVED the look of the tiny malformed stumps the Chinese women attempted to walk on.
How is this any different?

I can’t tolerant heels at all.Never have been able to.When I see heels like this seldom do the women look happy when they have them on.They may look good but to me they look like an easy way to break an ankle really easily.

Then they get poed at you because as a man you didn't notice the amazing new earrings or belt, etc.Or they still get PO'ed because you did notice, or didn't say it in the right way. Some days you just can't win.

Why get government involved? Isn't that the left's job? but as for the beautiful coquettish look of heels, making women's feet look beautiful for shoes has been done before:

I'm not a guy,and i'm not into feet either...I was simply making an observation. As a woman,I admire the female form almost as much as the male form.If a lady has nice-looking legs and wants to prance around in 5" heels, she should be able to without the government telling her she can't...that's all i'm saying.

they may as well wear shoes that are what they want to wear....
That is just it. The shoes are truly NOT what most women deeply want to wear. They wear them because society has A) told you they are the best, and B) No other heels are sold. In any department store today you will not find heels under 3 inches. Thank goodness there are flats and boots.
But I don’t believe women WANT to wear huge heels. They wear them because they have been conditioned by society and availability. And they imagine that men find them sexy. And men find them sexy mostly because there is a pretty woman in them! If the same woman were in danceable 2 inch heels, that man’s ardor would not cool.

How is this any different?Because the women are choosing to do this. Foot binding by the Chinese was started as a small child with no choice.
