Although scholars of the history of the NY Times Op-Ed pages may be able to find a more vile Op-Ed, I dare them.
From Paul Kane, a suggestion that the United States sell-out Taiwan to China in exchange for forgiveness of $1.14 trillion in debt, To Save Our Economy, Ditch Taiwan.

Well we are talking about the NY Times. As we all know they will do and say anything to tear America down and hurt anyone who is for freedom. Sad how they developed into this propaganda outlet like this.
How about sell liberals into slavery in China as payment for the debt?
I’d say we could sell the new york times to the chinese, but they already own it.
I’d trade the NYT and its staff to the Chicoms for no payment whatsoever.
Yeah send the NY Times staff and other liberals to China to use as slave labor. Though they’re probably only worth a couple of cents each.
America is harmless as an enemy, treacherous as a friend.
Walter Duranty smiles from hell.
History will not look kindly on a United States that abandons either Taiwan or Israel to the barbarians.
Can’t believe the guy who wrote the op-ed is a former Marine. What kind of people are they taking in the military these days?
Answer: Gays, Transgenders, and others who shall remain nameless.

Were either of these countries part of the Multi-National Force fighting alongside America in Iraq?
Thanks Kolath.
Paul Kane — sell-out Taiwan to China in exchange for forgiveness of $1.14 trillion in debt, To Save Our Economy, Ditch Taiwan.
[it makes more sense to just default, and neither option makes sense]

Mr. Kane identifies himself as Paul V. Kane, a former international security fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, is a Marine who served in Iraq.
With good editing and selective reporting, Benedict Arnold could describe himself as a hero, also.
That’s not how sovereign debt works.
The grand tradition of what Marines like to call REMF is not new.
Sadly... no “sellout” will be needed.. I doubt seriously if any POTUS, even a Republican one, would risk a carrier battle group to the defense of Taiwan.
We know Zero sure wouldn’t and I’m not convinced in any way that Romney would either. He would get a nasty telegram from Bentonville, AR and then say “we can’t offend our friend China by denying them their rightful territory”....
at least we know how the slimes values freedom:
=1,140,000,000,000/23,036,087(population of taiwan) = $49487.57
lets take up a collection to raise $50k and deprive Pinch of his.
We can use the leftover as seed money to add krugman as a pinch’s cellmate
