Are you serious?

Deadly.

The establishment wants Romney. The debate was stacked to make all the candidates attack each other like wild animals, and for Romney to emerge as the de facto front runner. Eventually, in the general, Romney will lose to Obama. Ergo, the Democrat Party won that debate.

Santorum is the one who landed the Best Against that Phony Romney,I was Hoping that Perry would finish him off with The fact That Romney had John Holdren that Radical Science Czar Of Obama as one of his advisors on the Enviornment, That Guy is a Real Lunatic,Population Control by Mass Sterilization,Confiscation of your Babies,Perry went back to his argument on Jobs being Created in Texas Versus Mass.that only gave Romney more applause Lines,He should be hit on his flip flops and he cant be trusted . Perry did that in his opening statement and then let it go,when he said Romney was a Convienient Conservative, that is where Romney is Vulnerable not in Statistics he has all that crap Memorized.Again Santorum said Romney is not the One to have a Contrast with Obama and he is Right,he is just like Obama,Big Government solutions.

Newt is the best debater by far but I don’t trust Newt as far as I can throw him. Cain is an adequate debater whose national sales tax I can’t stand but I somehow trust him to do what he thinks is best fro America, not Herman. Romney is a poseur but he’s good enough at that and debating that he might well win the nomination.

Some of the shouting back and forth was over the top.

It was a very pro-Romney crowd, so he had the advantage of having an audience to cheer for and back him up.

Overall, I think Cain perhaps had the best debate. He handled the attacks on his 999 plan reasonable well and continues coming across as a very likable, happy warrior. Listening to Herman right now on CNN, I am impressed by his willingness to just very candidly admit he misspoke or made a mistake.

Perry had his best debate yet, though he was a little too combative. Still, much better debate for Rick and I think it will give him some momentum.

Lastly, much as I detest Ron Paul, I think his plan to eliminate entire departments was a winner. I’d never vote for him in the primaries, but I thought he did better than usual.

How bad was Paul? I have a habit of having to go fill up my tea when he speaks... but from Facebook comments, he was an embarrassment. Even some Paul fans on Facebook I know seemed pretty disappointed and even embarrassed.

Newt is far and away the fiestiest, smartest guy on the stage.
Would love to see him as President, but he wont be.
His negs are off the chart, even with many Repubs.

Would love to see Newt as Veep, in the roll that Cheney brilliantly played.

Mitt / Newt or Cain / Newt - either wins in a landslide.

Cain I think will get the biggest benefit - further solidifying his position as front-runner.

Bachmann rates as most improved. She’s come a long way in terms of delivering her message, and her slower speaking cadence suits her better.

Perry/Romney were the arguing children in the back seat of a long car trip, with Romney frequently whining for parental intervention.

Newt...brilliant as always - and he seems there as the GOP director - keeping them all focused on the ball.

How would Obama handle it if Newt gave him a few “Yo’ mama ...”s or went after his no-good, deadbeat, philandering father?

Newt wins again tonight. Probably the most prepared to be POTUS.

Santorum, nice guy, but comes off like he is trying too hard.

Cain, he needs to brush up on other issues and show more than 999, he seemed down from the attacks tonight.

Bachmann, knows her facts and knowledgeable. Gets on the nerves a little with the Mom stuff. Female candidates seem to do this. Good on immigration though.

Perry, improved some tonight, but he just looks tired and acts slow.

Ron Paul, sometimes he surprises with where he will hit some issue right on...then he goes off the rails when you get to foreign policy. He seems to have no understanding of Islam whatsoever.

Romney, looked red eyed, got ruffled, slick, but lies.

I’m answering before reading a single post to the thread.

There is no doubt in my mind that Newt won the debate hands down.

I have a question for all...

Does Newt sound so good because he is neither attacking others or receiving attacks by the others in the debate?

Same for Bachmann?

I thought Romey and Romeycare was a great fighting point. Romey care has increased the cost in Mass. and has increased the amount of people going to the emergency room. It will cost the state 1.5 billion this year up a 150 million from last year. Its a disaster for Massachusetts. It has a pool which people can select plans from. Is this all sounding familiar?

I won. I had dinner with my daughter and skipped the debate.

Newt won, hands down. But he's not electable.

Cain was on the defensive over his foolish Sim City tax plan and proved to be a embarrassing featherweight on foreign policy.

Before he ran out of mental gas again (unfortunately), Perry did a fine job smacking Mitt around and leaving him bruised and bloody.

I am not a Newt fan, but I would so love to see Newt take on the Won. Newt has been good in the debates.
