The sacrifice of Sarah Palin (Vanity)
10/16/2011 | NakedRampage

Since Sarah Palin announced that she was not going to run for president, there has been a certain degree of bitterness on the part of some FReepers. She was bilking us, some said, just trying to hawk her books. She has betrayed us, said others, she never wanted to run anyway. I admit that at first I was one of them.

However, take a look at the attention Herman Cain suddenly been getting. These articles resulted from a quick google search and go back six days...

...None of it is complementary. Meanwhile Lawrence O’Donnell over at MSNBC lectures Cain on the 'black experience' and Al Sharpton questions whether Cain is "authentically black."

Sarah Palin was taking the flak for Cain, I believe. She knew that as soon as she was no longer a consideration, the media's guns would turn on the next true conservative; Cain. Palin stayed to cover Cain, giving him as long as possible to stay out of the harsh, biased media spotlight.

She sacrificed herself to protect the best conservative in the race. To give us a chance to elect Herman Cain rather than Mitt ObomneyCare or La-raza Rick.

Lets honor her sacrifice. Lets raise Cain!

Oh- and where are the campaign donation refunds??

Since there wasn't any campaign fund set up, there weren't any donations to one so giving refunds wouldn't be possible.

Oh yes - evening star - who saw Undefeated and continued to trash Sarah. They put you in a padded cell because of your PDS? And yet, still drawn/addicted to Sarah threads? So you are telling us there is no help for PDS? You would know!

If you haven’t realized it, it’s gonna take a team effort to ditch “Plastic man” Romney

And when is Cain going to realize that? He's the one who has his ear - I don't. What is he waiting for? Before the last debate he said he was going after mitt. His way of 'going after' was not only not visible but not effective! What kind of team effort can change what this leader can't/won't do?

Amazing how some continue to trash - just for trash sake. Who needs the media with these vile comments spewing out of clueless mouths. No clear thinking going on in those posts - just a rush to post a negative w/not a thought if a campaign fund was ever set up.

Thanks, upsdriver, for exposing the dark cloud that roams the halls of this conservative site.

It would be interesting to see which true believers in Palin have now become true believers in Cain.

I’m just sitting back keeping the powder dry until after the dust has settled on the Cain vs Perry vs Romney, etc wars. When it ends up being Obama vs Romney in the general election, it’ll be interesting to see how serious people really are to “take back” our country. Will they then entertain a possible tea party candidate to oppose them? Or will it be business as usual? IMO, this thing isn’t over in regards to Palin.

“We’ll see how active she stays in the 2012 politics”.

She said she was reloading. She also said, to paraphrase, that if you trusted her to be president, why would you doubt her stated intentions now

And three days after ‘the Undefeated’ was released in stores. Great timing.

This adds to the list of why she didn't run:

1) Her kids told her not to (didnt she tell us to leave the kids out of it?)
2) Death threats
3) Tod told her not to(more family blame?)
4) The GOP told her they wouldn't support her if she did (who ???)
5) She was never going to run and her acting as if she was running was just a secret plan to divert the MSM from Cain's 9-9-9 (Great act!)

Sarah Palin had a plan...

Con artists usually do.

...In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House. – Sarah Palin

And what have you done to help the cause jackass?

Why did you include me in this??? I didn’t say they should be banned.

Not that I go along with the trashing...to me she’s a good person who was treated shamefully and probably is in fear for the safety of her family for good reason. I don’t blame her for not running. And also I think the GOP would have refused to support her - too much big money is in control of our government.
In fact, these idiots on the streets will ultimately get nowhere for that reason - they’re just being allowed to pretend.

Quite a leap in logic....sorry; no go. Her decision not to run had exactly zip to do with Cain. Zero. Nada. She’s no con artist as some say here....that’s ludicrous....but she didn’t nail herself to a figurative cross for Cain, either.

There was some good information in the movie about what she did in Alaska and it’s in such direct contrast to the picture painted of her by the nutcase leftists including Matt Damon, etc. She was doing a good job and they decided to take her down.

It makes me sick. In fact, I felt like crying. We aren’t the same country imagined in Mr Smith Goes to Washington - that could never happen now.

I did not mean it as a negative, it’s just we’ll see what and how much she does.

But she surely didn’t decide to not run on account of Cain. That is pure delusion.

You should have waited and shopped around. Someone posted two or three days ago they had purchased “The Unwatched” from their local Walmart’s five dollar pile.
