Dear Guest:
We are very sorry for any misunderstanding about this issue. We do not have a policy at Olive Garden concerning bringing the American flag into our restaurants. Some members of our team were misinformed about company policy by our corporate office. As a company we take responsibility for that and we regret it. We take pride in how we communicate to our restaurants and we are correcting this so it doesnt happen again. Like all Americans we have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the American flag and everything it symbolizes. In fact, we periodically provide American flag collar pins to our employees to wear while serving guests. We welcome anyone who wishes to bring the flag into our restaurants.
Sincerely,
John Caron President, Olive Garden
The background almost writes itself, but please tell it anyway.
And did they comp you a future meal?
Maybe the response was mailed to the wrong address leaving the context a mystery...
They’re already on-board with Michelle’s crusade against good food. They promised smaller serving sizes and to use the ingredients that she approves of (it’ll be interesting to see if they keep the all-you-can-eat bread sticks and salad...if not, they would be a great stock to short).
I wrote them two very nice letters on the subject asking them to let me know whose side they were on. They wrote back a terse response thanking me for my comment.
The salad and bread sticks are the best part!
I saw that ‘manufactured’ response that someone else received on here when they confronted them.
Why. Are. You. Here. Freak.
“The salad and bread sticks are the best part!”
ALWAYS. Their problem is that they MUST limit them, as reducing serving sizes will simply drive people to the salads and sticks...and therefore we will all die prior to getting back to our cars.
It didn’t happen to me, I was going to boycott them for their responce to the flag... I happen to like their salad and bread sticks.. Not to mention the beer is cold. My son likes to go there for the all you can eat so I mumch on the salad...
sounds like Olive Garden and Tony Bennett employ the same PR company...
Why? Did Tony apologize too?
they also received a waiver for obozocare...
Money talks when it decides to leave a place of business.
no- his PR department did after he blamed America for 9-11....
Pardon me?
>>. My son likes to go there for the all you can eat so I mumch on the salad...<<
How long do you the moshelle the wookie gonna let that continue?
“they also received a waiver for obozocare...”
Forgot that. That’s why I say giving the president the authority to issue waivers breaches separation of powers. In other words, if Obamacare is good enough for a company that doesn’t suck up to the prez, then it should be good for a company that does.
satan69? Troll elsewhere.
Hoping the USSC will rule it gone! The Feds can’t make you buy something!
“Troll elsewhere”.? I am responding to a news story...
