They’re already on-board with Michelle’s crusade against good food. They promised smaller serving sizes and to use the ingredients that she approves of (it’ll be interesting to see if they keep the all-you-can-eat bread sticks and salad...if not, they would be a great stock to short).

I wrote them two very nice letters on the subject asking them to let me know whose side they were on. They wrote back a terse response thanking me for my comment.

I saw that ‘manufactured’ response that someone else received on here when they confronted them.

Some members of our team were misinformed about company policy by our corporate office.

Which begs several questions.

1) Why was anyone at the restaurant even calling corporate to ask in the first place? It should be a no brainer.
Answer: because the management of that particular restaurant is leftest pond scum who didn't want the flag shown.

2) What person/persons in corporate gave this "erroneous" policy information to them? The receptionist? Hardly. Had to be someone reasonably well up the ladder.

3) If it was NOT corporate policy then the logical assumption is that there is a rogue executive that should be getting a DRE with a 4 D cell mag light.

4) Or, it was indeed corporate policy and this is simply CYA because they didn't expect to get called on it (which is pretty stupid, except we know libs are stupid)

I got the same email from Mr. Caron, and Olive Garden got my business back. I believe in forgiveness.

I boycott them for a more selfish reason. Their food stinks and is bland and flavorless and as far from an Italian meal as you can get. Plus the couple times I have went there because others wanted to the service was bad. They are the Mcdonalds of the chain sit-down restaurant world in that they hire the lowest common denominator folks and serve fake lousy food.

I understand people going there for the unlimited salad and breadsticks as that is the one thing tolerable there for the price (although the breadsticks are just a stick of goo).

“In fact, we periodically provide American flag collar pins to our employees to wear while serving guests”

Yeah, right.

Post any crap franchise food, crap tv show or crap movie and watch a slobbering horde of “TV” freepers reaffirm their commitment to pour money into the MSM and their corporate sponsors.

Olive Garden? NO thanks.

“...while serving guests.”

If I am a “guest,” that would mean to me I don’t pay.

If I am a “customer,” that would mean to me I do pay.

I wish my supermarket would call me a “guest.”
