Seriously, even if Palin did not see her own significance, a whole lot of us out here in flyover country did.
She seems like a reasonable person.
Perhaps she can be convinced to reconsider?... :D

Give it up, man. It’s over. She’s not going to be president. And it’s her choice.

Draft her as head of the RNC. She would just light things up and flush out the Grand Old Potty and just kill the Dems. She isn’t gonna run for President.

Leave her alone. She said "NO." She will be seen and heard from still, but on her terms.

Do you have so little respect for her and her family that you think you can force her into doing something she’s decided she doesn’t want to do?

Isn't upsdriver trying the same thing on his "earthquake" thread?
"As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order."
How much louder do you want her "NO" to be?

Why not just climb on board the bandwagon for your second choice?
To: Cringing Negativism Network
Nope, best get on with what’s out there... wherever she puts her stamp of approval, that’s who’ll win the R nomination. My money is on Herman Cain...

Why would you want to draft Palin? Many of her supporters have joined the Cain Train and think he is just as wonderful.
Of course, Cain doesn’t have a record as a proven leader like Palin but that’s okay cause he SOUNDS like her.
To: Brilliant
Already settling on Cain.
Thing is, it wasn’t too late for Palin to join the race this week, and it’s not too late this weekend.
People change their mind sometimes.
To: Cringing Negativism Network
Let’s see how Herman does. (I’d say let’s see how the rest of the field does, too, but I’m realistic.)

The thought has crossed my mind as well. Wonder if that has been her plan all along.
She has said this campaign will be different. However with Cain gaining steam I don’t see it happening.

Not about things like this.
Parents who’ve been living on a rollercoaster with their family, who’ve poured their hearts into something that they believe in, and then come to the prayerful decision that it just isn’t possible, don’t whiplash the family back into the race just because a bunch of people WANT them to do it.
This isn’t about wanting. This is about what is best for her and her family.
It isn’t about her supporters, anymore.
It’s about her personal life. Why can’t you see that?
