Pressed by House Republicans and the Wall Street Journal editorial board to release a copy of his tax returns to justify the so-called "Buffett tax," the Oracle of Omaha said he would comply if News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch did the same.
"I think it might be a terrific idea if they would just ask their boss, Rupert Murdoch, and he and I will meet at Fortune, and we'll both give you our tax returns and you can publish them," Buffett told Fortune's Carol Loomis.
"I'm ready tomorrow morning," he said.
In a New York Times column, Buffett asked Congress to raise his taxes, saying he paid a higher effective tax rate than his secretary. Buffett has become a campaign surrogate of Obama's, most recently hosting a fundraiser for the President in New York.

According to Forbes, Warren Buffet is worth $50 Billion while Rupert Murdoch is about 7 times ‘poorer’ at a net worth of ‘just’ $7.6 Billion.
Just info for anyone interested to know.
How Forbes comes up with these figure is something I’d like to know...
Hey Buffet you are the one that made this an issue. Why drag someone else in. Just release yours and then shut the hell up.......

If Rupert releases his tax returns somebody somewhere will use the information to fuel a campaign against him.
So what Warren's really saying is, "No, I won't release my tax returns, though I'll make it sound like a good faith offer to do so to the rubes and dupes."
He didn't get where he is by being stupid and not out-foxing his business marks.
And Obama wouldn't be using this multi-billionaire as a national spokesman if he thought the man was senile. Obama is no dummy, either. Both have street smarts along with their twisted ideologues.

I don’t hear Murdock running off his mouth on taxes...How the heck did Buffet make money, he sounds like a dummy...
