Romney Front-Runner By Default While Cain Wins FL Straw Poll (Palin's opening)

After the FoxNews/Google debate, it had begun to crystallize in the view of many Republicans is that Rick Perry isn’t the candidate many had hoped. Capturing the straw poll in Florida on Saturday, Herman Cain reached new heights as Perry’s slide down hill has accelerated. Bachmann has peaked and begun to taper off, while Gingrich, Paul, Santorum and Huntsman continue to struggle in the middle-to-low single digits. This leaves Mitt Romney out front, not because he’s such a great candidate, but because to date, his chief opponents have grossly underperformed. This begs the question most conservatives want most to ask: Is Mitt Romney capable of carrying the conservative banner into battle a year from now? Most conservatives seem to believe the answer is a firm “no,” but it nevertheless leaves Romney in the position of the last candidate standing

I believe that Cain is going to be moving up in future polls and may overtake Perry by months’ end. I am quite comfortable with a Romney v Cain race.

Noooo, Romney is not the front runner and Romney can’t go after Cain without looking like an idiot. Cain will eviserate Romney without breaking a sweat.

Message to my fellow patriotic conservatives... our first big battle will be the MSM including fox. While we fight that battle we will be fighting the good Ole boys like Kristol, C Wallace, Rove, maybe even Krauthammer. Then we fight the left wing liberal Marxist. Cain can win. He, Palin, or Christie are the only ones who stand a chance against all these forces. Little bit of money and prayers will go along way too. LETS ROLL!!

Yup. What a momentum shift. And I won’t accept Perry’s excuse that he was “tired”. Cain has been running for months BEFORE the Scott Brown’ of Texas came aboard..

It took two hours for Rick Perry to crash and fall out of contention. If im Sarah, I am sitting up in Alaska and chilling for alittle awhile longer. I was one of those people pushing her to get in right away. I think I have changed my opinion.

heck, the nomination in not even decided offically until the Republican Convention next summer.

Cain wants to replace the current income tax with another one, as well as preferring to keep the alphabet soup agencies intact, albeit probably smaller and more efficient. That won’t be good enough for a lot of people. I know it certainly isn’t good for me. I want the EPA, DoE and ATF DOA ASAP. The IRS could wait a week or so. Not the few years Cain seems to be alluding to.

Christie won’t make it. There is no way he will be accepted by fly over country. He’s fun to listen to but he makes Rudy Guiliani look like a red meat, rock ribbed conservative by comparison.

"Romney's incredible 3 to 1 devastating loss to Herman Cain
proves nothing. To FOX News, me, Ailes and McGinniss,
the very magic (RINO) Milt Romney
will remain ... forever ... as YOUR leading candidate.

Oh, I believe he was indeed tired. In fact, he actually looked drugged. I was wondering if maybe he was taking pain killers for the recent operation. He did indeed look drugged (legally). I'm not trying to imply he's on drugs illegally. I know he recently had an operation and still in pain because of it.

That being said, what really hurt him was the "no heart" statement. And I feel (like most) that the statement came from his heart and not from being tired.

CAIN should be the nominee of our party, for so many reasons. Good news. This man is NOT down and NOT out! (as much as the lib media would want it so).

Palin has played this perfectly so far. She has waited out:

1. Romney as the early front-runner
2. the Trump boomlet
3. a Bachmann surge
4. the rise and possible fall of Perry’s coming in the race late.
5. the release of various smear books that the authors and publishers thought were timed to blow up her campaign.

So now we need a conservative in this race. She is there and I bet she gets in soon.

Romney front runner by default? No, he is the front runner in the MSM’s minds, but not for people who actually vote.

Your problem with the agencies is you don't know the half of it ~ and Caine does.

You could lay off everybody working for those agencies, but the stuff they do will continue to be done somewhere in the government, if only by a Presidential staff aide in the Old Executive Office Building.

You must RID the law of the enabling legislation for the programs they administer. You must eliminate both their staff AND their other resources from the appropriations lists in the appropriations bills.

If you don't take away their "stuff" our legal system will simply require someone else to dispose of the "stuff" as usual.

Caine has not proposed any additional funding or staff for any of those agencies. He has proposed cutting a variety of the programs they administer.

All those guys who are or used to be Governors know that ~ but they're not telling you about it so you don't know. Sarah knows ~ she went after the laws that enabled corrupt practices. She POd the Democrats and Republicans, the Left and the Right in Alaska by doing that. Here's Herman Caine telling you where the action "isn't", and he's right.

Newt Gingrich knows but he's still trying to get all that stuff out of his mind ~ probably imagines them to be cobwebs or something.

Kasich in Ohio and Daniels in Indiana know where to cut to the bone ~ they'd probably say pretty much the same thing as Caine.
