Palin has played this perfectly so far. She has waited out:

1. Romney as the early front-runner
2. the Trump boomlet
3. a Bachmann surge
4. the rise and possible fall of Perry’s coming in the race late.
5. the release of various smear books that the authors and publishers thought were timed to blow up her campaign.

So now we need a conservative in this race. She is there and I bet she gets in soon.

The debates have hurt Perry badly. Now Palin is looking like she is hiding from them. I know she can hold her own in most debates, but she needs to get in and prove it. If she waits much longer we are looking at Pres Obama or Romney. I hope Cain can prove me wrong.

You’re spot on. Why should Palin jump in early? Let the current bunch dismember each other a bit more and then get in. She has the name recognition and doesn’t have to be a candidate to acquire it like they do.

She HAS played it perfectly despite Rove’s advice that she JUST has to get in by Labor Day. She’s letting them all exhaust their fake mojo before she pulls the trigger. Man she’s good!
