Cain wants to replace the current income tax with another one, as well as preferring to keep the alphabet soup agencies intact, albeit probably smaller and more efficient. That won’t be good enough for a lot of people. I know it certainly isn’t good for me. I want the EPA, DoE and ATF DOA ASAP. The IRS could wait a week or so. Not the few years Cain seems to be alluding to.

Your problem with the agencies is you don't know the half of it ~ and Caine does.

You could lay off everybody working for those agencies, but the stuff they do will continue to be done somewhere in the government, if only by a Presidential staff aide in the Old Executive Office Building.

You must RID the law of the enabling legislation for the programs they administer. You must eliminate both their staff AND their other resources from the appropriations lists in the appropriations bills.

If you don't take away their "stuff" our legal system will simply require someone else to dispose of the "stuff" as usual.

Caine has not proposed any additional funding or staff for any of those agencies. He has proposed cutting a variety of the programs they administer.

All those guys who are or used to be Governors know that ~ but they're not telling you about it so you don't know. Sarah knows ~ she went after the laws that enabled corrupt practices. She POd the Democrats and Republicans, the Left and the Right in Alaska by doing that. Here's Herman Caine telling you where the action "isn't", and he's right.

Newt Gingrich knows but he's still trying to get all that stuff out of his mind ~ probably imagines them to be cobwebs or something.

Kasich in Ohio and Daniels in Indiana know where to cut to the bone ~ they'd probably say pretty much the same thing as Caine.

To do away with the Federal Income Tax will require a Constitutional amendment repeal, which WILL take some time going through the usual process of Congress, then the States. He’s said that a flat tax would likely be a good bridge until we can get rid of federal income tax - THEN the fair tax, a uniform sales tax, should be the only tax charged to people. He doesn’t want the fair tax in ADDITION to income tax, otherwise it’d be a VAT like Europe has. We have to have some kind of tax to produce necessary revenues, but either a flat tax or a national sales tax seems fair, AND would get that near-50% not currently paying ANY income tax to contribute.

He also said in debate that he’d like to eliminate the EPA. The moderator only gave the candidates a choice of one to eliminate, but I’ve also heard him in the past say he’d like to eliminate the Dept. of Education as well. Both of these would be my top two choices.

Cain is a great man, an excellent team builder and a true problem solver.
