AS a society we tolerate alcohol use and to some extent abuse, legaly prescribed pain killers and many other drugs that IMHO shouldn’t be. We also tolerate lethal prescribed drugs to terminal patients, if you don’t believe me you need to read up on hospice care.Because it is heavily taxed, tobacco is still sold, and we know of that potential danger.
Good as place as any to add tagline....
In the current context, one word means "supporter of bigger government" and the other means "supporter of smaller government."
You've already explained to everybody that you're on the side of bigger government. Do you know which word that makes you?
I know it's a tricky question, because there's alot of the same letters in the two possible answers. Maybe you can ask somebody to check your answer for you.
I’ll toy with you. Only because I’m bored at the moment and have nothing else to do.
Are you saying libertarians want smaller government? Well, that’s a lie, you know.
Prop. 19 is/was a pefrect example of how libs want to GROW the size of government, not shrink it.
Prop. 19 as yo know, was on the ballot in the land of fruits and nuts. It was aimed at legalizing marijuana. Why? TO TAX IT.
Not to decrease sales, not to end the WOD, not to serve any other purpose but to tax the sale of marijuana.
And libs on this site were creaming their jeans over the possibility that pot might be legal and taxes could be increased and that the size of government will be even larger.
But - sadly for the libs - even Californians knew better than to pass that stupid proposition.
But as a society what the mission of the war is remains murky. Is it control, elimination, victim, criminal, morals, law, profit, loss, security, good bad, like any substance abuse? what?
Spray the cocoa plants in South America, spare the Afghan poppy fields, Chase some Mexican bringing marijuana across the border, ignore his store selling it in California.
Does anyone really know what they're doing and why?
Stop it! You've been doing this same thing for years and those who are familiar with the drug war threads are all too familiar with your spiel.
Your whole argument isn't an argument at all.
Throwing around "you're a Paul Bot" or "you're a liberal" because "you're against the WOsD" (you in all of your finery in 2009) or "want to legalize marijuana" (you in all of your finery in 2010) is not an argument, it's a diversion and cheapens nobody but you.
You've got plenty of similar replies over the time you've been here if you would like to be reminded of them.
Is throwing aspersions easier for you than simply arguing your case?

Who else do you and this group of "conservative FReepers" watch?
Stupid, lazy and cowardly American illegal drug users are so stupid, lazy and chicken that they won’t attempt to work and change their reality....they just buy and use illegal drugs to try and ignore reality for a few minutes and thereby fund some of the most vicious criminals this world has ever seen.
And they have been doing it since 1776!
You can call me "lib" or "libertarian" or even "g.gordon libby" if you like, I really don't care. I don't speak for the libertarian party. I don't even know any members personally. I almost always vote Republican, if that matters.
I support smaller government with reduced powers, you support bigger government with increased powers. That's the bottom line.
You support the federal government having horrendous power over the citizens that the founding fathers vociferously and specifically fought to deny to it. You have abandoned their experiment in individual liberty and freedom, because you're afraid your neighbor may smoke some pot.
A pathetic and craven cave on your part. But have a nice day anyway.
Gosh. I feel honored.
That you went to all the trouble to research such excellent replies I have made in opposition to surrendering in the WOD, is indeed flattering to me.
Or maybe it’s creepy that you live and breathe by what I post on Free Republic. Are you stalking me?
Either way, I don’t exactly get your point of why many of the links your provided are my responses to the late (not-so) great 10thTrollGuy.
Was he a personal friend of yours? You do know that he was a lib? His FReep page said he was. Even though he denied it and later took down his remarks on his FR page.
Anyway. Thanks for coming on this thread and linking to such great comments that I’ve made. I stand by everyone of them. And I hope that someday - as I’m living rent free in your head - that you too will come to appreicate the conservative values I espouse.
What do you perceive you gain in your attempts to disparage others?
But the Drug War Fascists will always rationalize their Tyranny, and the ever-expanding State necessary to impose it.
I don’t think drug use could be stopped but it certainly could be greatly reduced.
So tell me, do you think there are less drugs on the street today then ten years ago? Do we have less drug users minus the ones incarcerated? Have we stopped the flow of drugs in this country?? Were drugs cheaper and more available ten years ago? Do kids still smoke pot??

WOD=JOBS
Lots of folks make a living off of it, on both sides of the law and both sides of the aisle. It’s never going away, in my opinion.
Freegards
Be careful how your proceed. And why do you keep posting....

Do not attempt to get in a pissing contest with me. You'll only end up drowning in your own pee.
Yes it does but at whose expense? The TAXPAYER?
