Most of the junque at the thrift shop today was either terminal or overpriced. I'll let it sit until they get tired of looking at it!
I found this little guy way back in the showcase, it works!
Pony 135 Production: 1950-1954 Film format: 135, 24x35mm frames Shutter: Kodak Flash 200 1/25 - 1/200 (M sync only) Lens: Kodak Anaston 51mm f/4.5 - f/22
Can't lose for 3 bucks!
I took a few pictures with it when I first got it, but I haven’t used it in many years. My SLR camera is a Canon AE1. I have a nice 400mm lens for it, as well as some average wide-angle and other dedicated lenses for it. I haven’t used it much, but used to take a lot of really great pictures with it. I love it because it is so easy to use, and the big lens makes stunning shots a piece of cake. Unfortunately, I don’t think any of them are on my computer. :o(
Oh no I would not be here yet.:(
My dad had done photography and film/print processing since the 30’s; photochemical and etching tech were tools of his trade.
When I was in grade school, I got interested in his photo gear, which included an old folding camera (maybe 2-1/4x3/14) and a Kodak 35mm much like the one you picture.
The thing I wanted most for my 10th birthday was a camera of my own, and I knew which model: An Ansco Readyflash.
Well, I got it, and took some pics with it. But I started gravitating to dad’s Argus C3 35mm camera, and soon switched over to that.
By then, we were processing film and making enlargments in the downstairs bathroom.
Those first two cameras are decades gone by now, but I have found exact replacements for them on eBay in excellent condition, and they now sit atop a bookcase.
A few years went by. Dad passed on, and we traded the Argus in for a more modern Minolta, an A5. A few years after that, while in college, my brother and I went together on our first SLR, a Canon.
After generations of Canon and Olympus film gear, I went digital in 2005 with a Canon Digital Rebel. When I got my EOS 50D, I gave the Rebel to my brother at Christmas.
I have film for the Ansco and the Argus; now I have to get off my butt and shoot some scenes, maybe over at Cocoa Beach. Maybe Lake Eola. We’ll see.
I have one of those laying around here somewhere... with the leather case and matching leather encased light meter...
If I can dig it out, I will send it to you, if you’d like - does me no good at all.
If you are interested in selling any of them (MC or MD mount) please freepmail me, I'll put together a list of what I'm looking for.
The films in your link are not normally used by shutterbugs - now if they stop making Plus-X or Tri-X, then I start worrying.
I know;( careless - copied the wrong link.
Oh no I would not be here yet.:(
