(Vanity) Did you just see/hear the singing of the National Anthem at the Bears/Falcons game?!?!?!

I don't know WHO that guy was/is who sang the national anthem to kick off the game at Chicago stadium, but he SANG (not performed) in the most onwderful way. The crowd was roaring and cheering at his rendition and broke into a great USA USA USA chant ... but Fox broke away to a commercial.
Wish I could been there.
GREAT day.
I don't even care if the Falcons win. Chicago deserves it for picking THAT GUY to sing, and letting him sing it that way.
WOW!!!

Since I have NFL Network access, I saw it
live with no interruptions and in HD--wow.

That unrolling of the massive American flag was quite impressive, too. When I heard that strong voice come on for the National Anthem, I knew it was going to be a meaningful rendition sticking to the right notes and singing it for all its worth. And the crowd felt it, too! If a video of TODAY'S rendition pops up anywhere; would someone be kind enough to post it to this thread?

Just imagine if that guy had sung that at the 911 memorial at the WTC this morning. Wow.

I still hope the Bears lose, today and every day.Looks like the FOX scorer is of the same mind. Erlacher ran in a rumble, stumble, fumble recovery and it came up ( briefly ) as a Falcons TD.
Daaaaaaaa Bears. Da Bears.

Thank you so much for posting the link! I have a friend in the FD who was there somewhere helping to hold that flag. Very glad I got to see it as I missed it before the game. I’ll be posting the link on his FB page so he can see it when he comes home. :)

(If you aren't part of the solution, there is good money to be made prolonging the problem.)
