Thank you!
Hope the 1st day of September finds it a little cooler for you! (Sad joke, eh? lol)
Cool graphic! Thanks.
How's your Thursday going?
Awwww...he/she can sit on my lap and swing! ;)
Hmmmmm....I suppose that could be a positive but there definitely is something going on. The MRI should tell them more. Take care of yourself until then!
BTW...how’s that eye doing today?
Thanks...I thought so too! :)
Hi Conor! Perhaps I missed something, but I didn’t know something was wrong with your back, along with the knee! An
MRI should most likely show what’s going on. I’m so sorry you are having no improvement.
Prayers the Doctor can find the problem’s cause and fix it!
Thanks, Teenie!! The town is starting to get tourist for the Labor Day weekend. Always causes a traffic problem, so trying to get things done before the weekend.
How’s your Thursday going?
Ponder These
1. Does a clean house indicate that there is a broken computer in it?
2. Why is it that no matter what color of bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?
3. Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?
4. Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
5. On electric toasters, why do they engrave the message “oneslice”? How many pieces of bread do they think people are really gonna try to stuff in that slot?
6. Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
7. Why is it that no plastic garbage bag will open from the end you first try?
8. How do those dead bugs get into those closed light fixtures?
9. Considering all the lint you get in your dryer, if you kept drying your clothes would they eventually just disappear?
10. When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart than apologizes for doing so, why do we say, “It’s all right?” When, it isn’t all right .
11. Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that’s falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
12. Is it true that the only difference between a yard sale and a trash pickup is how close to the road the stuff is placed?
13. In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?
14. How come we never hear father-in-law jokes?
15. If at first you don’t succeed, shouldn’t you try doing it like your wife told you to do it?
16. The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends, if they’re okay, then it’s you.
Thanks! I sure hope it’s cooler. It’s actually only supposed to get up into the mid-80s on Sunday. I’m not holding my breath! LOL!
Sounds good, though! :)
Hi, Teenie! I still have very blurred vision - but the doc said that would/should clear up after a week of drops in the eye - three times a day... (Thanks for askin’)

When I was a kid, I had a hero: Pete Maravich, a high-scoring basketball player who handled the ball like a magician.
Problem was, my desire to be like Pistol Pete blocked my satisfaction with who God made me to be. When I realized I could never play like Pete, I grew discouraged. I even quit my college team briefly because I couldnt measure up to the Maravich standard.
Kids still do that kind of thing. They grow unhappy with who God made them to be because they measure themselves by their perfect heroes.
Christian singer Jonny Diaz recognized this and wrote a song called More Beautiful You. The song begins: Little girl fourteen flipping through a magazine; says she wants to look that way. Some young girls wish they could be like Disney star Selena Gomez or another star the way I wanted to be like Maravich. Diaz sings, There could never be a more beautiful you; dont buy the
lies . . . ; you were made to fill a purpose that only you could do. Diaz is saying what another songwriter said under the inspiration of God thousands of years ago: [We are] fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14).
God made us the way He wants us to be. Believe it. There could never be a more beautiful you.
Read: Psalm 139:1-14
