Like the title of the thread says, there's a new freeper among the ranks. I've been a constant lurker on FR for about 2/12 years now, so I know my way around FR pretty well.
Homeschooled christian conservative, not a gun owner yet, unless useless dinky little BB guns count, cuz' I have about a dozen of those.
I don't have a job yet, or a driver's license, although that will probably change soon, cuz' I'm 17 years old.
So, first post ever in the bag. Howdy.
Patience grasshopper, patience... :-/
Welcome aboard!
And let’s hope he’s washed that underwear.
The penguins had a slight "accident" on the mat; but it's no worse for wear. The giraffe ate the ladder. I've got a rope made of beef jerky. Will that do?
..and the mayonnaise manacles?
Sorry. One of the cats got at them.
Do we still have the joke flypaper toilet seat covers?
We used the last box in the Congressional restroom.
Welcome to FR, just watch out for some of the older crustier members. They tend to think their seniority translates into some kind of barney fife deputy badge allowing them to harass your spelling, your posts, your everything else done on FR. By and large though, FR is a great group of folks to be associated with. You’ll learn much here. - OB1
rats!
We need to stock up then.
Rats? We’re fully stocked up on rats. In fact, we’re lousy with them!
That’s the field expedient cannon ammo.
You stuff in a bag of rats, then fire the cannon.
We’ve also successfully used toilet paper as cannon ammo too.
It’s good to know Sheryl Crow is still gainfully employed.
She was who we were launching the TP at.
I thought she stuffed the cannon...one square at a time.
She was shrieking that we need to use only one square.
Well, it is only one square when fired all together.
Those fights my mother had, you could literally write a novel or a play about. Either because they wanted to throw troublesome residents out on the street or wanted to cart them off to a hospice or pump them full of mass amounts of unnecessary drugs.
And my grandmother wasn’t at all the worst. There are people who have much worse health than she did. Mostly, she was unable to walk without assistance, but no dementia or cancer or debilitating conditions. She died of an apparent stroke.
I see. How old were they and what did they die from?
BTW, the sugar-coated image of the cookie-baking grandmother doesn’t always correspond to reality. Mine could cook all right, but she was also a hypochondriac prescription drug addict. She actually destroyed one of her kidneys because of gobbling Dylantin pills for years. Until a tough, no-nonsense doctor took her off of them.
I'll simply say I was lucky and, yes, reality does not always come with sugar-coating. There have been lemons in everyones life.
Both of my Grandmothers lived long lives. I was blessed.
