In Sept. 2008, Roger Fisher said that he was happy to receive the publicity for the song "Barracuda", co-written with the Wilson sisters from Heart, which was being used by the McCain/Palin campaign.
The Wilson sisters said that "Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women."
Roger told Reuters back then that he pledged to give part of the royalties from the song's use by McCain/Palin campaign to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's campaign.
I wonder if he and the Wilson sisters feel the same way about Barack Obama these days...
I have heard the term African-Canadian however.

Yes, Ann is now the fodder for fat jokes, and all, but back in the day, I thought she was a rock goddess. That voice made my teenage pants go crazy.

Interesting! I know that native peoples from Alaska call themselves by their tribal names. None of the hyphenated crap. Funny how Mexicans don’t call themselves native anything, even though many are of Aztec/Incan heritage. On a tour, a guide said, “You’ll notice I’m short and squat, like the original inhabitants, NOT like the descendants of the Spaniards.”
BTW, Heart is definitely from Seattle, not from Canada. They have stated this many times. In fact, they went to the same junior high as I did. In suburban Sea-town.
I don’t see any regret coming from the entertainment field in regards to 0bama. They all march in line as committed leftists where conservatives=evil and Demonrats/communists/tyrants=good. I loved Heart and admired Ann and Nancy’s songwriting talent, but when I learned how they were ardent abortion supporters and leftists I can’t listen to them or support them anymore. I’m like that when people I liked are that activist and vocal.
Ann actually got that surgery where they put that band around your stomach and leads to drastic weight loss, but it obviously didn’t help as it came back.
They are not Canadian. They are the daughters of a US Marine who was stationed all over. They settled in Seattle and Ann started out with Heart with Mike Fisher(Roger’s brother) managing and he was an American avoiding the Vietnam war draft who moved up to Canada and Ann joined him there. They did end up coming back home and Seattle is always considered home.
That’s right. They’re American and their votes count unfortunately.
How ironic that Ann and Nancy were the daughters of a US Marine — but when they became old enough to have boyfriends were attracted to the ones who fled to Canada to avoid the draft.
As my grandpa used to say: “A parent spends 15, 16 or even 17 years raising a girl with morals, values, honesty, etc. and then comes the first a**hole that sweeps her off her feet and in one week changes all that a parent has spent a lifetime to create!”

Aztec/Mayan actually. The Incans lived in South America, mainly Peru.
