Not much different than serial killers...love the joy of killing something, especially harmless pets.

Her kind has a thing for killing dogs, too.

Perhaps it was the first time she encountered a moving target.

Yay, a thread we can be like Daily Kos on!
“f the p!” “f the p!”
/S
But yeah there’s no doubt that pet killings by police need to be taken a lot more seriously than simple property damage. These are members of people’s family. There should be an external investigation in these cases.
But I’ll say that we only have 1 side of the story here.

The dog owner should get justice.

A chained dog... six times!
Such a macho powerful cop, that is!
Used to be you could go years and years without reading a story like this. These days there are too many to count.

The copsuckers will be here soon to tell you ‘you don’t have the whole story’...or ‘dogs on chains are dangerous and can scuff your boots’....
Apparently dogs are just ‘freebies’...
They are a ‘standing army’....

In other news, NATO felt fully justified bombing a civilian airport.

Maybe that triggerhappy cop would enjoy the rush of engaging a target that shot back?

“But Ill say that we only have 1 side of the story here.”
The dog was chained up. I don’t personally agree with the practice of chaining dogs, but since the dog did not break the chain, the officer was in no danger.
The officer should have gone about her duties and ignored the dog.
It seems that she went into “Target acquired. Mission: Terminate” mode.

He also said that officers have to make life and death decisions in an instant And on other days, they just shoot dogs.

They just followed their own internal policies and procedures. No fault found. The dog would have attacked if it was not chained up. The cop was taking no chance that the dog would unhook itself and attack. Nothing to see, move along.

Yes. That’s the side of the story we have.

Disgusting.
I'll say it again; The next time I hear of a cop being shot in the line of duty, I'm going to withhold my sympathies until I hear the details of the shooting. My default support for cops is OVER.

Maybe someone could come up with a T-shirt that says “I don’t own a dog because the cops would shoot it if I did”.

ditto and its a matter of time before some law abiding citizen decides to get revenge for his family pet, I know I would if some thug with a badge walked into my yard and killed my pet
I grew up in the 70's with ( Adam12,CHIPS ect ) when the cops were the good guys.
now they are more like a banana republic gestapo
