Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.
Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.
Not true. It was also stated during closing arguments — again as to EXACT cause of death. They have always maintained manner of death to be murder.
When I think about Rush and Levin on this issue, they lose credibility. The media didn’t take it in the chops. They used the story to make money.
If you listened to Ashton last night, he pointed out a very real fact about this case and the media.
The Prosecutors, none of them ever went to the media. They went on no TV shows and never served the media.
It was Baez and company who constantly ramped up the media. They wanted that so they could later say that poor Casey
was tried in the court of public opinion. Baez and crew were the ones on all those shows engaging the media. I have seen all of them making the rounds, including Dr. Baden’s wife.
The Anthony’s used the media to lie for Casey. If you remember when her body was finally found they were on their way to make an appearance in California.
I also do not believe that these jurors did not watch media about this case. I believe they did. They seemed to mirror a lot of what Geraldo has been spinning for a long time.
If she was truly innocent she should be mad looking for the killer. Smiling like she is tells the world she did it AND beat the system.
“OMG, they shouldnt be defended, they should be shunned for their idiocy.”
Agreed.
Was she charge with not reporting a death?
Was the jury charged with deciding if she did not report a death?
You are not going to like this answer either, I am afraid.
Justice for Caylee was not what this was about.
Justice, in terms of a trial, is about making sure the process is fair and that the laws are applied with equal force and consistently for all parties.
I know that sounds clinical and cold. But when you are talking about the legal system it is clinical and cold. It is about logic, not emotion.
So, a trial is about Justice for the accused, not the victim.
OK, go crazy on me.
maggief, scroll down to where? What should I be looking for? That’s a VERY long page with lots of comments.
So, a trial is about Justice for the accused, not the victim.
He's thinking with his other brain.
Youre reeeeaaaalll good at calling names and trying to disparage others. Im sure your mother is proud of such excellent debating skills. /s
Homicide of undetermined means. Not all homicide is murder. Murder is a criminal homicide. Homicide is the killing of one human by another. Period.
All the ME said was that Caylee died at the hands of another human being which is different from saying she was murdered by another human.
The analogy was not a defense of the case. It was trying to explain to my children how a jury could come to the conclusion using logic and the evidence that is presented. You guys are the ones that went crazy with it.
I don’t care about the evidence as you saw it. Evidently the jury got a better look, because they do not agree with you...and that’s all that matters for the defense isn’t it?
The Scott Peterson case might be a good analogy, but we won’t know because the body DID show up. As they say, getting an indictment is not really that hard. Indictments, as we learned this week, are not convictions.
Rush believes the media took it in the chops and he’s estatic about it. He’s talking about the wall-to-wall coverage on HLN and on TruTV, which I don’t really consider the media as much as a bunch of legal-eagles.
I sorta think the forensic people were not top of the line....I don't think they spent enough time with the evidence and overlooked "stuff". The hair, the nails, the clothes....I just feel that they missed something.
Typical FR post these days.
Someone trying to cover up. Someone trying to protect someone else. Someone ashamed of what they did or didnt do. The list could go on but the prosecutors didnt include charges of covering up a crime so what is the point in speculation? Just another indication of screw ups by prosecution.
Notice VermonT LightweighT refuses to adress the strength and substance of the evidence? He can’t. He’s not that familiar with it.
In this context yes. That is what a trial is about.
How would you define justice?
Scroll down to the Rick Grund interview. It's long and touches on many facts & incidents that I have not seen reported elsewhere.
