Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.
Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.
I haven’t read any of the thread yet- just got here- but I read another interview last night with juror #2 who said the first vote was 10-2 not guilty on 1st degree murder. The closest it seems they ever got was 6-6 for manslaughter as they went through the charges.
Since she gets out next Wednesday this may give enough time for emotions to cool off a bit- but she’s still going to be haunted/hunted by some whackos for the rest of her life. I saw one young man interviewed on CNN at the Courthouse- he’s carrying a sign that says “Marry Me Casey Anthony”...he’s going to show up at the jail next week with a ring (he says). Normal looking kid- you wouldn’t look at him and say he nuts. It didn’t SEEM to be a prank.
Casey got away with killing her daughter. I often wonder what the Orange County police officer (later fired) who decided NOT to go a little deeper into the water off Suburban Dr. 3 years ago this August thinks about...how he sleeps and if his inaction has changed his life in any way.
And by the way, did the prosecutor say “no one will ever know” after the verdict or before?
I don’t believe she wants another child. This is just the beginning of the PR crap.
Im sure you are.
ditto that on Mark Levin. The reaction of Rush and Levin is that they’re elated the “media” is taking it in the chops. Hardly objective.
“as in”. as in nothing. Where is the wizard of Oz when I need him!
Not true. He never meant he did not know if it were accidental or murder. Ashton states he does not know exact cause of death. No one buys the accident theory. It’s preposterous.
It appears you are confusing cause of death with manner of death. As I clearly stated above, NO ACCIDENT results in tape covering the nose and mouth of a toddler, NO ACCIDENT results in 31 days before emergency services called, NO ACCIDENT results in a toddlers body tossed in a swamp wrapped in 2 black garbage bags inside of a laundry bag, NO ACCIDENT results in a body left in a car trunk to decompose.
The cause of death is unknown to us due to decomposed skeletal remains. The manner of death is clearly nefarious homicide. There is a big difference between cause of death and manner of death.
“No one buys the accident theory. Its preposterous.”
Except the 12 Village idiots and some nuts on this site.
No, No, No....you are missing my point completely.
I, myself, think she did something. You don’t need to convince me of that.
I am defending the jury—thats all. I believe in the jury system and I think they did the job as they saw it.
If you are objective, you can see their point. It is possible that you would come to a different conclusion, but the point is that she got a fair trial in front a jury of her peers and they decided the prosecution dropped the ball.
My frustration with the folks on FR is that they yell and scream about the constitution and the basis for our government and judicial system and how it is abused. But when it operates in total openness, and the result is not what they want, people are screaming. Their inability to accept that the process works, even when they don’t agree with it, is extremely frustrating.
The system worked. Justice—the equal application of law to all parties—was served.
Now I will drop it.
And yes, I think she is a whack job and I hope she does not have any more children.
PS: How you have liked to have been on trial and had Georgie Boy as the police officer/detective in charge of your investigation?
Thank you! Well put!
Oh good lord.
You obviously didnt go to the sites or even read my post. Yet you spout opinions as if you intently followed the trial. Do you honestly think an alternate juror or the prosecutor would have been giving those interviews during the trial. The jurors were sequestered for crying out loud.
IT WAS AFTER! Duh. So much for your questioning others views of the case.
But what about Caylee? Did she get justice?
Nonsense. You people defending the jury's decision are getting carried away. Nobody's attacking the system. A great many are disputing the correctness of this particular decision. There's nothing wrong with that.
Well my point is...he couldn’t very well say she was guilty after the not guilty verdict now could he? What else could he say? And no, I didn’t follow this every minute and second. I have a job and have to work.
I’ve just finished reading the entire Grund transcript. Good Grief! No wonder Wendy Murphy is saying that there has been a ot that has been suppressed!
Another pregnancy in 2007? False alarm, or did she have an abortion?
I think that Mr. Grund has good instincts — she was trying to frame Jesse.
I feel exactly the same way.
If you are objective, you can see their (jury) point.
No. If you are as stupid as they are you can see their point. The one juror and alternate juror, who have talked so far, have proven they can’t even comprehend their duties as to assigning guilt or innocence (they considered sentencing which is a no no)....
...and one of the nitwits felt that Casey was a good mother.
OMG, they shouldn’t be defended, they should be shunned for their idiocy.
“I am defending the jurythats all.”
Ah, no, not quite. You’re throwing out bogus analogies, refusing to answer questions regarding details of the evidence. A much closer analogy, btw, can be found in the Scott Peterson case, where prosecutors were readying an indictment against Scotty boy even before the remains washed up.
