The former West Point cadet who's suing singer Patti LaBelle's entourage for allegedly assaulting him at Bush Intercontinental Airport last March has added an airport operations worker to the list of defendants.
In an amended complaint filed earlier this week, Richard King accuses Houston Airport System employee Cahl Rasmussen of relaying false and defamatory information to King's West Point supervisors -- namely, that King instigated the confrontation that left him bloody and landed him in the hospital.
"[Rasmussen] was not a witness, but without compunction, passed on the aforesaid false report as if it was true," the complaint states. "In an act far outside the scope of any job description, Rasmussen initially e-mailed, then spoke on the telephone, to King's supervisors at West Point."
The complaint does not state if Rasmussen saw the video of the incident before allegedly contacting West Point.
King's lawyers told Hair Balls earlier this month that, based on this information, West Point suspended King. The Houston Chronicle reported earlier that West Point officials said they conducted a "thorough investigation" of the incident and took "appropriate action" by suspending King. West Point officials have not responded to our request to confirm that Rasmussen spoke with King's supervisors, and Rasmussen has not responded to requests for comment.
Rasmussen has been an airport operations coordinator since 2004, according to his Facebook page. (Under his "employers" section, he wrote "Work as little as possible. Remember I work for the government!!" -- classic, Rasmussen).
He lists his previous occupation as a police officer for the city of Aurora, Colorado, from 1985-2000.
LaBelle and her entourage have not filed a response.
Hey ODH, are you too busy doing research or really really important stuff to give a answer? By your honor, you should.
(1)I still hate the friggin' beret. IMHO, people wearing berets should be carrying unwrapped loaves of French bread.
(2)The white shirt is plain stupid.
(3)Apparently the same designer who was retained for Mexican Mariachi Mailman Uniforms is working the Pentagon.
(4) Given the CIC, I suppose I should be grateful that the troopers are not wearing flashing LEDs.
(5)Will Patti La Belle vote for the Magic Mohammedan Marxist MF in 2012? Enquiring minds want to know.
My personal suspicion is that security, in collusion with the LaBelle entourage, wanted the cadet to sign a statement that he was at fault, the cadet didn't want to, and so they decided to mess up the cadet's future in retaliation.
One thing I'm curious about is how the airport security guy knew the cadet was a cadet. Did he volunteer the information? Was he interrogated by security? Details are sketchy.
As a postscript, quite a few of my fatigue tour hours involved cleaning Crandall Pool in bathing suits along with one of the cheerleaders, so I wasn’t complaining too much.
My guess on that would’ve been by the ID he was carrying? The police probably got it and the security guy from them decided to take it upon himself to impress the Queen without thinking there is a video of it.I hope the cadet can have him removed from his job for what he did.
I was NROTC - Marine option.
Attacked in the mens room by two “football players” (pussies) from Annapolis while on cruise in Philipines.
1. These morons were stupid enough to want to fight in a heavily tiled room - there would be no winners, and
2. It is dumb to attack Marines - especially those with 6 years of wrestling training - (love to fight x 2 + fight every day?)
I fought the two goons off long enough for my buddies to hear - I think they were shocked when I fought back - as soon as it was even odds - the bullies were all for peace.
I never saw any evidence of any special honor code in any transaction with any Navy dude. I was “2 and screw” - not because of those morons, but corrected vision = no flight school.
And I’m sure I saw every midshipman on that cruise drunk off his ass. We were smuggling beer into the BOQ, and drinking after curfew, etc. I can remember half carrying guys back from town.
Doesn’t suprise me there were a lot of those types around - I tended to hang out with the prior enlisted types more they understood why we were really there. I will say though that even the Marine contingent that graduated with me had their fair share of idiots. That being said I also knew quite a few who I’d be proud to stand alongside. Any time you get a group that large there will always be idiots. What got me to thinking was if there were that many in a group of 4500, how many would there be in a college/university of 10,000- yikes!
Eric Holder is a disgrace to the USA!!
Bush's Intercontinental fault!
