'My failings as a father': Obama reveals how he regrets not spending enough time with his children

Barack Obama has spoken about how he has failed to spend enough time with his daughters, despite pledging to learn from his father who left him when he was two years old.

The President revealed how he regrets how his work has stopped him spending more time with his daughters Malia, 12, and Sasha, 10, as they grow up.

Mr Obama told how growing up without a dad made him want to be the best parent he could, but admitted that he had not been a ‘perfect dad’.

‘At times the burden of raising our two daughters has fallen too heavily on Michelle.

‘During the campaign, not a day went by that I didn’t wish I could spend more time with the family I love more than anything else in the world.’

Mr Obama said he regretted not being present because of his own experiences in his troubled childhood. ‘I grew up without a father around. I have certain memories of him taking me to my first jazz concert and giving me my first basketball as a Christmas present. But he left when I was two years old,' he wrote. ‘And even though my sister and I were lucky enough to be raised by a wonderful mother, and caring grandparents, I always felt his absence and wondered what it would have been like if he had been a greater presence in my life. I still do.’ Mr Obama shared his thoughts on parenting with People magazine in an attempt to present himself as a family man as the 2012 presidential election campaign starts to gear up.

And I sincerely hope that Barack Hussein Obama lives a very long life (in spite of his chain-smoking, probable drug use and other habits frowned upon by actuarial tables). I want that American-hating, anti-Christian Muslim commie to live that long life in utter disgrace and complete humiliation. And, most of all, I want Barack Hussein Obama to live that long life in an orange prison jumpsuit where even his childlike mind will reflect each and every day on the unspeakable crimes he committed against our country during the one and only term he was in office.

Yes, there is no evidence that I have seen that Stanley Ann and Obama Sr. ever lived together. And as others have stated here, there is credible evidence that she was living in Seattle when Jr. was a newborn.
