That's a big one.

With my old eyes, big fonts = no problemo
You do realize wind shear at elevation, temperature gradient and a lot of other factors are involved in hail formation, not just storm energy? More basically, you do realize that weather isn’t climate?
“Largest Hailstone in U.S. History FoundNational Geographic News
August 4, 2003
It’s official. The thunderstorm that pounded south-central Nebraska in June ended up leaving something for the record books: The largest hailstone ever recovered in the United States, a seven-inch (17.8-centimeter) wide chunk of ice almost as large as a soccer ball.”
You are no fun.
It appears to be related to the Mitt Romney graphic... I think the Font size may not the closed properly. If you refresh and get another graphic, the fonts go back to normal.
But is a factor, is it not? The first message I responded to said”so much for global warming” as if to say that this hailstone in may shows that the world isnt getting warmer. I just pointed out that warmer weather will result in considerably larger storms, and yes storm size is a factor in hail formation, however all you did was put alot of facts in a sentence and assume I did not know any of them.
Yes, the difference between weather and climate is time, and you do realize that I am not even commenting, nor have I on anything you said.
You do realize that putting random facts and acting like they refute anything I say when they dont is just stupid?
...with water in it.
......frozen water.
..........with the balloon cut off.
Exactly.
This is what used to be known as a hack
. Reminds me of the 1968 MIT artificial snow hack:
Seems a * /h2 * may be missing.
no problem with fonts here...
Italians, be gone!
I've been told by very learned men that I know just enough to be considered dangerous and an obstacle to knowledge in several diverse fields ;^)
I seriously doubt that a piece of hail that big could survive in one piece unless it landed either in soft mud or a body of water. Second, the shape is much too regular. It looks like a balloon to me, too.
That’ll put a dent in the old bean.
Why does it look like the shape of a balloon?
...and have a line in the middle with a bulge out where the balloon stood over the edge of the bowl like a muffintop over shorts in a Walmart?
Some people have been having trouble with the fonts today. They say if you refresh the page they will go back to normal but every time they they change threads the font gets big again.
