You probably spend all of one second deciding what kind of milk to put in your coffee. What's to debate? If you want to keep the pounds off and avoid heart disease, choose skim. This is gospel, after all: It's recommended by the USDA and has so permeated our thinking that you can't even find reduced-fat (2%) milk at places like Subwayand forget about whole.

How much does a gallon of organic milk cost?
I buy the fat free milk to drink..but always get a container of half and half for my coffee..
Fedzilla is more concerned about Amish farmers selling raw milk than they are securing the border.
$6/gallon, we go through two gallons/week. I’ve heard that raw usually goes for around $5/gal.
As opposed to inorganic milk?
Why does it cost so much money if it is organic?
Thats their term, not mine.
You need to research that for yourself. Too much to get into in one post.
Organic runs here at Walmart between $5 and 6 a gallon.
I don’t drink organic much, but I do drink whole milk. Screw skim, or chalk water as I call it.
Because they charge you for the word “Organic”. Extra printing cost, otherwise they could just print Milk.
I think it’s the over processing of food and the amount we eat that’s making us fat and sickly. Also the way our food is grown now. Over planting, throwing just the bare minimum of minerals back into the soil ect. doesn’t help either. We must eat more of the good foods that are grown like that, in order to get the same amount of vitamins and minerals that you would have gotten from food years ago when they rotated crops more. The bible says, let the land rest ever 7th year. Me thinks, God knew what He was talking about.
The less processed a food/beverage is the better.. As always.. Moderation is Key!
My doctor told us to stay away from everything except whole milk. It seems that when they remove the fat, they also remove other things the body needs to have to digest the milk and process it in our bodies properly. Raw milk would be even better, but in my state, you can only get raw milk for your animals. They won’t sell raw milk for human consumption.
I'm thinking it is a scam as well. I just wont buy it because I can't afford to start doubling and tripling my food bill. Inflation right now is enough.
I’m with you there. I can justify the costs of the organic things I buy because I have a huge garden every year and process and preserve what I grow, plus I cook so I buy unprocessed products and make my own. My food bill is increasing, thanks to obama, but I can still afford to purchase organic. I can offset the costs by not buying chips, soda, sugary cereal, etc.
It ain’t making me fat, skim milk is gross, it’s like water with a calcium pill dissolved in it. Whole milk only for me.
From the article.."To turn skim milk white, "some companies fortify their product with powdered skim," says Bob Roberts, a dairy scientist at Penn State. Powdered skim (which is also added to organic low-fat milks). In animal studies, oxidized cholesterol triggers a host of biological changes, leading to plaque formation in the arteries and heart disease,.."
Years ago I worked for doctors doing research into lipoprotein metabolism. One of the Ph.D.’s told me that homogenizing the milk is the danger to the circulatory system. There is no need for homogenization. Pasteurizing, yes, homogenizing, no. You have to be very careful where you get raw milk. Poor sanitary conditions can taint the milk with bacteria that can kill humans. I drank it on my grandparent’s farm, but we knew how clean they were when milking the cows.
For my part, whenever I see the word "organic", I check to see if my wallet is safely in my back pocket.
