An open letter to Governor Sarah Palin:
Dear Mrs. Palin,
I'm writing this open letter to make the case for you to seriously consider a run for the Presidency in 2012.
I believe that our nation is at a critical juncture, and the need for a strong, noble leader is desperate. Times like these are when great leaders often emerge. Winston Churchill in 1940, Ronald Reagan in 1980. Now, it's time for the great leader of the next decade, and I think you are the one we're looking to.
We need the GOP to win the presidency next year, but that's just a start. What good does it do just to win the election without a clear blueprint for Renewal? The GOP may as well just throw in the towel if they don't have the vision and courage to put forth a common-sense conservative agenda, and stick to it until success is achieved. The Republicans may as well be co-conspirators if they fail to distinguish themselves from the soft tyranny that's being promoted by Washington through it's various departments and agencies. How could anyone blame the electorate for feeling that "There's not a dime's worth of difference" between the two parties unless the Republicans act boldly in defense of these principles?
Hence my plea, on behalf of The American People. All across the country for the past 3 years, huge crowds have waited for your appearances. I can tell you that the reason I went to hear you was that you speak in a voice that's of us. We see in you a kindred spirit who's not afraid to fight for her beliefs, and we find it inspirational. As you stated in the first speech that I heard you make, "A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not why the ship was built."
Mrs. Palin, it's probably presumptuous to try to read God's Will, so I'll only say that I don't think it's a coincidence that you've emerged as a leader at this time in our history. I also understand the enormity of the task we're asking you to undertake, and know you've got duties as a wife and mother that have to be considered. I personally support whatever decision you come to. I just want to emphasize the huge army of supporters who see you as the leader who can allow us to turn over to our children and grandchildren the same country we inherited.

You’re a great reality TV star. Stick to what you’re doing - fishing with Kate Plus 8 and making tons of money. Leave the presidential campaign to the serious candidates who wont quit after 2 years. Enjoy your TV career!

These fools always make a fuss about that (as if they 'reaaally' cared), but actually - they could give a RATSASSS about it.

My advice(all 2 cents worth) is for Sarah to get back into
government, either state senator, or u.s. congresswoman,
raise up a stink with the Washington Bureaucracy, author
some great necessary, and practical laws which pass and
are successful, be on the armed forces committees, and
health and education committee, and budget committee,take some
law classes, and then run for president.
A lot of folks think she’s a lightweight, even though she
has a reformers/populist/can-do persona...she needs to
add a bit more experience, and some”gravitas” and then she would have a very
good chance of being a successful candidate. Oh, and she
has got to be basically clean, no Schwarzeneggar sleaze
please.
Although she was easily as qualified as our present POTUS,
she didn’t get the media protection and projection as
he did, and he won....so she needs to blow through the
media lies, and half-truths...
Now, you have created a special condition. Normally noobs are flamed for writing vanities, then if they don't respond within a short time they are banned. However, you have cleverly written a (completely unoriginal and fawning) vanity praising Governor Palin so you have a built in cheering section that will attack anyone who points out your noob vanity faux pas.
I'm pretty sure you could have found an article about Governor Palin to post your opinion on. She gets mentioned every once in a while around here.
*Seriously, can we get a function added to the software that prevents posting articles until you've made 100 replies? It would eliminate most of the noob nonsense and blog pimps.
The American people will care even if you and other Palinistas don’t. We hired one unqualified, inexperienced president last time, and you see where that got us. Giving good speeches, and having a Facebook account does not make you Reagan, Churchill or Thatcher. Sarah will be most helpful as a fund raiser and conservative gadfly who revels in irritating the Bambster.
I’ll bet that Todd can get by without a multi-million dollar entourage of assistants, sycophants and asswipes.
